We were in Paris at the height of the transport strikes. Had to get an Uber from our hotel to Gare RER Denfert Rochereau, hoping these buses were still running. They were. Nice journey, it took about 30 minutes from where we got on the bus to Orly. We had 5 day tickets, so cannot comment on how much the journey cost.…

Having just returned from Paris, I thought I share from what I saw with prior comments: 1) Yes, the bus could be crowded and packed with passengers. 2) Yes, the A/C was not on and all the windows were all closed. It was uncomfortable sitting in that bus. 3) I got on the bus on the south side (sud)in airport. There are vending machines and a booth at the stop. 4) Not sure why some missed the ticket validation box because there are 3 on the bus (front, middle, and the back). You need to insert the bus ticket to have it stamped. There were public announcement in the bus in 2-3 languages on this so not sure how some missed it. 5) I got on the bus on a Wednesday morning and the bus was in the HOV lane. We got to Denfert in about 35 minutes. 6) When you get to Denfert, buy the Navigo Decouverte pass vs Visite Paris (it’s much cheaper). However, you do need to pay attention to how many zones you’ll be needing to get around Paris since the affects the total price. The employee that worked the booth spoke English the day I was there. 7) At Denfert, know which train you’re taking as the terminal has 2. The Metro and RER and it’s confusing to find the Metro. For Metro, you need to go downstairs, exit the turnstile, and swipe your Navigo pass again to get back in. 7) Assuming your Navigo pass is still valid (unexpired), you can use it on the bus again from Denfert back to Orly. I swiped the Navigo pass and didn’t need to buy another ticket.…

If your travels take you to Orly from Paris these buses are so convenient. They run frequently — I think every 10 or15 minutes. They are super clean and inexpensive — less than nine euros per person. They also offer free Wi-Fi onboard. My most recent experience was so quick; it only took 20 minutes to get to the airport from Danfert-Rochereau. Even if you don’t speak French it’s super easy to access. There is great signage.…

I bought my one way ticket to the airport and got on this bus. I’m not used to transport in Paris and I’m never here. I did not punch or validate my ticket on the bus because I didn’t know I had to. I was fined 35 euros even though the ticket punch machine was an arms reach away from me. The ticket collector would not let me go until I paid the fine. I think for tourists this is disgraceful. I followed the rules and bought a ticket. I’m absolutely appalled and will be filing a formal complaint with Paris transport. …
