My first review was for the restaurant. This review is about the specialty shop. It's a beautiful boutique offering the gourmet specialties that makes Maxims unique. The macarons and chocolates are a cut above the rest. I'm looking forward to indulging in my first cup of Maxims richly roasted Arabica coffee blend.
The gentleman who welcomed me into the shop became my host. He was like an ambassador for all things Maxims! He had extensive knowledge of each item on the selling floor. I appreciate the insightful and delightful experience that he provided me. I'm not sure if I can mention his full name, but it begins with the letter A and ends with the letter N.
On a final note, there's a bit of confusion about the location. Maxims De Paris, isn't located inside the Louvre Museum. You do not have to purchase a ticket for the Louvre Museum in order to access the shop. Maxims De Paris is actually inside of a shopping mall very near to the Louvre.

Stumbled upon this while exiting the Louvre and thought it was a bit of a tourist trap and that the macarons would be "ehh," but after taste testing Macarons at 5 places, these were by far the best! Seriously worth a stop!

My main reason to dine at Maxims wasn't the food. Instead, it was to bask in Maxims' Mystique. It was like dining inside of a sophisticated, high end art museum. The decor and atmosphere creates an ambiance, that teasingly invites you to indulge in the experience!!!!

I recently dined at this restaurant and was extremely disappointed, not only by the mediocre food and subpar service but also by their appalling business ethics. I discovered that they are trying to take legal action against an independent British brand called “Maxi’s.” This is particularly upsetting because Maxi’s donates a free meal to the poor for every seasoning bottle purchased. It’s disheartening to see a well known restaurant trying to crush a charitable small business. I will not be returning and strongly urge others to support more ethical dining establishments.

This company is trying to take down an independent philanthropist in the UK by claiming their names are the same (when clearly this is not the case). The UK brand gives its profits to help the poor. You should be absolutely disgusted with yourselves Maxims! Trying to destroy and cost a man thousands who is only doing good and helping people in the world!

I Went there today after visiting the Louvre. I got 8 macaroons that looked good but upon making it back to my hotel I was annoyed- they were really stale. I had to just toss half of them as I was not going to eat stale food. What a waste of €12. I do not recommend this place at all.

All our fresh specialities (macarons, caneles, "gâteaux de voyage") are daily fresh !
Moreover, we sell the macarons 2€ each, or in gift-boxes with a minimum of 6 pieces for 12,50€.
Are you sure you've bought these macarons in our store ?

Screw you guys maxims so so much trying to bully a young independent buisness that’s is helping people in this world out of there trademark saying it’s the same you guys should be so disgusted of yourself, be a bit better if another brand does the Same and deal with it a bit better the next time.

Disgusting business practice, Bullying an independent small business in another country over the trademark of their name when it's not even close or a similar product. The business they have targeted also has a charitable aspect to it feeding the under privileged Hope you're happy with yourselves.
