Lovely place visit except the marie antoinette suite closed for restoration. A lot of groups that made the visit bit hard ..

The place was so beautiful and grand it took me 6 hours to walk around it. It's a good thing I arrived a few minutes before the musical fountain started.

This is an opulent Chateau or Palace, but it's sooo popular, even with prepaid tickets, it can be over a hour to gain access. The tickets include the Trianons which are buildings a bit of a walk away but included in the ticket. If you have time to waste, fine, otherwise they were pretty ordinary. The Chateau wreaks of grandeur,... More

We booked our tickets in advance and went to Versailles (via train) early in the morning. We arrived there with a long queue already (even though the Chateau is not yet open). We went in queue for those whose tickets are already reserved (still a long queue) so I can only imagine the queue for those who did not book... More

Plan the day well is the key advice. We came from Paris on a tour that included a skip the line entry and an audio guide. This is definitely how I would recommend doing this. The skip the line is really worth it and the audio guide lets you move at your own pace and learn about what you want.... More

We toured the Chateau. It was opulent and some parts were beautiful. Some parts were gawdy. It all kind of started to look the same after seeing each room, one more opulent than the last. The audio tour was interesting and it was nice to be able to go at your own pace.

I only visited Versailles because I had been to Paris twice before and I never had the chance to go previously. Firstly, I do not recommend going to Versailles if it is your first time in Paris. As you will not have time to do anything else on the day you go to Versailles. It will suck up your entire... More

Make sure you buy your ticket in advance and go to "Chateau de Versailles" before the opening hours otherwise there will be a very very long queue. Do not bring your selfie stick because it is not authorized. Go walk in the gardens ! It feels like you are back in time and go watch the water shows too. Put... More

Truly amazing and beautiful place. Worth the wait in line - get tickets in advance to reduce wait time. Went in early Nov to avoid even longer lines.
