We took a bus trip to this lovely lake. Very empty in May but we are told very busy in the summer months. You can walk around the lake - it will take at least an 1.5hrs

We spent a pleasant couple of hours here. We had a picnic and enjoyed the sun. There is plenty of parking and a couple of beaches on the edge of the lake. Definitely worth a visit if you are near Carcasonne.

Came here in August, absolutely beautiful. The slides looked fantastic. Swam in the lake, sunbathed a bit and had some food from one of the kiosks. Highly recommend to people staying in Carcassonne.

This is a delightful spot whether in summer or winter. The 5km walk around the lake is full of interest particularly in the late afternoon when the lake reflects the trees and the declining sun. Just a pity that on the day we visited there...More

A lovely spot just 3 miles from Carcassonne. Lake itself beautifully clear, was used for swimming, canoeing, rowing and fishing on our visit. Plenty of parking up the hill.

Thought we would visit the lake hoping to see some of the activities mentioned in the guide books. Nothing was happening, just a few people having picnics or sitting on the sand by the water's edge. There are toilets, but no other facilities. The snack...More

My husband is interested in this lake as a potential carp venue for mid summer holiday. Does anyone know whether it is worth a visit and what are the sizes of carp? Thankyou.
