We must have walked up and down Pic St Loup a dozen times in the past few years. Although it's almost 30 km from where we live, we have a very good view of the North East face of the pic (and its sister peak next to it which looks just like one mountain from that angle). If you climb... More

Great view! Worth a visit if you're passing through or doing a wine tour! Make sure to walk the path to the edge. If possible, have a local help you find it.

a wonderful hike to view for miles of France's beautiful wilderness. After the long hike down, stop in for some local Pic st. Loup Rose at the local vitner! France truly does it right! Merci!

To the top and down you'll want water and a picnic. The climb is not for Grandma. Try to visit some Vinyards after because this is also serious wine country.

I didn't went up to the top of the mountain since it was over 30 degrees and a walk to the foot of the mountain was even 7km, but the area around there is pretty amazing. Unfortunately, it's quite hard to get there via public transport which made the trip a little more annoying than necessary.

We did this activity in the moring in family. My youngest child (2.5 years old) could not do it all, but my elder one (4.5 years old) did it all... although I had to carry him on the way back. We used the east side track wich was recommended as the easiest (1.5 hours track for an adult) The end... More

Most of the reviews mention the fact how hard it is to reach the Pic. And although it is the tallest thing in the whole area, it is. Public transport is a no no. You need a car, really. And even then, road signs to the Pic are leading nowhere. So here is the definitive tip to get there:drive to... More

Lucky for me, I registered on the OVS and joined someone to do this Pic St-Loup hiking. I wanted very much to do this after I checked “things to do in Montpellier”. It took a while to drive there. With absolutely no idea about this hike, I had checked a lot on the internet and had got even more confused... More

Pic St Loup is at 20 kms north from Montpellier. The path is easy but made with lot of stone and without tree on the side. It is impossible to find some shadow until the top of the mountain. In summer time it must be done early the morning.

Just outside Montpellier, great views to the south as you ascend and then - suddenly - to the north as well. Not easy, but not tough. We found a nice place for a glass of wine nearby afterwards. Perfect!
