Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Small square and area surrounding Eglise Saint-Roch. Opposite the church is a playful wall mural that takes up the entire front of a building. There are several cafes (most with courtyard seating) in the area. Numerous narrow lanes branch off from the main square leading you to explore the charming area.

The most beautiful square in Montpellier. Lovely terrace and restaurants closer
the St Roch church. Absolutely commendable.

This is a very pretty square in the old town, the pedestrian area. There are cafes and restaurants that take advantage of the open area and because it is protected from the wind, it is a good place to sit and drink.

The place in front and alongside the church is one of my favorites in town. There are places to sit, although most prefer to sit on the church steps. Lots of places to eat and drink here.

This little plaza bustles with activity. Several narrow walking streets stretch into the historic district. Walk as many of these streets as you can. This area was my wife's favorite stop of a 4 week trip in Europe. Shops with displays of clothes, postcards, dry goods, novelties and souvenirs in the narrow corridors, banners overhead, open windows above decorated with planters and the occasional laundry, cafes, and a church. The historical area is much larger than I expected for this size city. Just roam around, get lost, take in the atmosphere.

The place Saint Roch is located in the historical centre. It named of Saint Roch Church, dedicated to the patron saint of Montpellier. This is a calm, attractive little square with a few cafes and mural - one of the four frescoes of Montpellier. The French call such frescoes - “trompe l'œil“. Besides there’s a fountain close to Indian restaurant “Rajasthan”.

The church was closed but the Plaza was busy on Ash Wednesday afternoon. There are a few restaurants with outside tables.

A lovely little plaza set in the heart of Montpellier's old town. You can wander through amazing stone walkways lined with medieval buildings. The streets are very confusing at times as they have many turns and alleys, but this small plaza is wonderful!

Great place for food & strolling. Beautiful shops where you will pick up something really unusual for the table back home
