Cool Castillet

Definitely worth a visit even if it's just to climb the 140 steps for the stunning view of the city. For 2 euros entry it's a cool way to spend half an hour or so.

I'm not sure what I was expecting from Le Castillet, but it did not live up to expectations. I found the staff at the entry desk to be a little rude and off-putting (they were clearly engrossed in a conversation with each other and did not want to be bothered) The museum was mildly intriguing, but nothing special. It's all... More

For such a great, historic building, it was disappointing to visit and not be told many stories about its past. It's worth a look (and cheap to visit) but could be so much better.

A great way to keep the kids occupied for an hour or 2 and very interesting,,,The mini castle is steeped in History and from the top you get a great view of Perpignans roof tops and canal..and kids go free ! adults 2 euro...

Le Castillet was built in the 14th century and was the main gate of the city. The city walls around it were demolished in 1904 so it now stands alone in the centre of Perpignan. Entry is only two Euros for seniors, but you must be able to climb 400 steps to reach the top and enjoy views of Perpignan.... More

At least 6 stories of circular stairs. This was a prison at one time. Weather was very hot and the stairway hotter. After 4 stories the stairs won! Nice place. Not the best site in town but should be seen.

You can't go to Perpignan and not see the Castillet. It is lovely. We were not able to do the tour because our hours didn't fit but it is still a lovely site.

This a good place to walk through (and up) it only takes about 30 minutes. At the top there are great view over the old city and across the canal and into the new city All the signs were in French and Catalan. There seems to be a lot of great history here, but we could not really grasp it... More

Interesting for its history. It is an excellent reference point, as the sightseeing train leaves from there.
