Situated in the 'quartier historique de la Cite' - a dog free zone. Don't worry, park the car in a shaded parking on the 'Quai Louis Goujaud' leaving you free to explore. The gardens are spacious with bizarre sculptures scattered around.

These botanic gardens are nice, but appear to be a little bit neglected. The lower terraces are a bit dry. The fact that the garden has got lots of stairs makes it exciting to walk, but a big challenge for strollers and wheelchairs.

Terraces overlooking the river are well planted and also provide good views of the cathedral and the 18th century bishops palace.

Free entry makes these spendid garden probably the best value attraction in Limoges. Well kept and spread out on three levels this peaceful spot is worthy of 2 hours or so relaxing stay. The unusual sculptures add atmosphere to the place and the view over the River Vienne makes this a must visit spot

Well laid-out and -maintained gardens. Other areas of the city appeared a bit neglected, but there was work going on here and it was a delightful environment.

Went to the gardens after the Cathedral, because it is number 5 on the Blue walking route. Watched the fountains play, sat and had a packed lunch. Walked amongst the flowers which I guess will change with the seasons. Placed above the river that you can look down upon.

We went into the gardens after visiting the cathedral. This was right up my street. Beautifully laid out and with degree of informality I found refreshing. The gardens seem to go on and on and we found a shady bench to eat our baguette lunches, along with a lot of younger couples, some quite amourous!! From here you can meander... More
