What a place :)

A great place to see if you want local Lorraine products and fresh foods (fish, meat...). The atmosphere is so alive with people talking like if they all know each other.

For architecture lovers, the covered food market of Nancy, located between rue Saint-Dizier and rue des Quatre-Églises is worth a visit. There has been a market in the same spot since the creation of the ‘Ville-Neuve’ (new town) by Charles III, Duke of Lorraine four hundred years ago. Initially the market was held in open air but in the middle... More

This is a great place to visit while in Nancy. Here you will find the local citizens are indeed very friendly and willing to help you enjoy their city just a little more. Great smells and tastes from the Lorraine region. Actually, there are some very nice eateries located inside that will satisfy your lunch needs. There are also vendors... More

A local market that has a section with wonderfully selected local products and another with small restaurants that are quite diverse (French, Italian, Japanese, vegetarian).

As an avid fan of clean eating, the discovery of this well organised, well presented market was a happy one! I think that it offers a superb range of products and produce and the sellers are incredibly polite, approachable and helpful! I think that the market has a lot of potential for becoming a buzzing and bustling attraction such as... More

This small town is a treasure of Art Noveau memories. Balconies insinuate themselves into the streets and grills stand sentry to cafe's and one of the most surprising towns I have visited. Travel clichés aside- it is well worth visiting this gem. From London it is an easy trip via Eurostar, changing at Paris, and then choosing from the quiet... More

We've been here many times. It's one of the places we visit each time in Nancy. As another reviewer said, this place has nearly everything food! And everything is so good, fresh, and beautifully displayed. We ate lunch at a tiny taverne this time (too bad it's not reviewable because the food was outstanding!) inside the marche.
