Turns out my 16 year old son knew about it through playing Battlefield! Very moving visit - I was interviewed after by an intern for the tourism office of the departement That place needs a Bathroom and a water fountain !

The inside tour can be done with papers (takes 20 minutes) or audio/video guide (takes 45 minutes). We did the audio/video guide and it was excellent. The inside can be very cool and damp, so take a jacket and wear sensible shoes for your visit!...More

Very cool fort but I wish we had gotten the audio guides for more information. Great gift shop with souvenirs and even books in English. Entry fee for adults 4€.
