Currently compromised by scaffolding but still worth a visit

This rose brick edifice is an amazing creation in pale pink bricks. The interior is a feast of colour indulgence with virtually every surface being painted

We had to look twice for the entrance for wheelchairs (at the backside close to the entrance of Toulouse Lautrec).

Great architecture, lots of interesting side chapels and paintings to visit. The craftsmen explained what they were doing to restore the part they were working on.

The largest brick built cathedral. The building is so impressive both structurally and in terms of the art inside. The ceilings alone are magnificent. Wheelchair access from the back but you will need help as the doors are heavy and the access ramp is on a slope.

This cathedral is, in my opinion, the primary reason vacationers/travelers would come to Albi. It was amazing (and I'm not even religious)! First, the outside is made of brick instead of the normal stonework you see on most European cathedrals. Second and most amazing, the inside is decorated to the hilt. It looks like what I assume most other cathedrals... More

We were in Toulouse in last Christmas and visited this place. This appeared to me the best appealing Cathedral I had ever seen. We reached here on our Day 5. by train. We took 09-15am train and reached at Albi Ville station at 10 -25am. It was 70 mins journey from Toulouse Matabieu rail station and the fare was about... More

Albi is about an hour from Toulouse. Looks smiler to Toulouse in terms of architecture and the way the city presents specially the brick work and the coluors. Cathedral Ste-Cecile is absolutely marvellous and in my knowledge the biggest cathedral in France. I am afraid to describe the beauty of this stunning architecture because it would take a long book.... More

Splendid cathedral, a little different than those in northern europe. Great location, and plenty of other places around to visit. Not many selfie sticks, which was good. an easy day trip from Toulouse - an hour in the train and then a 15 min walk from the station

Both from the outside and the inside, the cathedral is amazing, a true architectural wonder. It reflects the whole feeling and vibe the town of Albi is offering.

This is an unavoidable cathedral. The best thing about it is the oltar situated in the back of a church from which you have to pay the fee and it is well worth to do it.
