I thought this small museum was just the right size to walk through and see all of the Lautrec as well as the other artists exhibited. The paintings worked very well inside the old building. I was also happy to have an elevator for my...More

An extensive display of all things Toulouse-Lautrec! While there is a lot to do and see in Albi, this exhibition is worth a detour if you aren't intending on visiting this lovely city.

We are not art lovers but this was good to see the art that has been so recognizable over the years. You could do a quick tour or spend ages here. Building is worth seeing as is the garden although you can go to the...More

Very close by the city centre and not to be missed! Loved the galleries, the excellent information in each room and the building and garden itself.

It was the Bishops palace and has lovely formal gardens laid out by the river side. Again a huge brick complex, with very much a fortified appearance. Very good gallery of Lautrec's work, including many portraits and some very intimate and sad paintings of Parisien prostitutes at...More

The Toulouse-Lautrec paintings are exposed in bad illumination conditions and need a brief written introduction for each (you don't always want to buy an audioguide). Price is fair (9€).

I made a special trip to Albi to see this museum, rich with a potpourri of Toulouse -Lautrec ‘s work, from posters to paintings and drawings. The venue, formally the bishop’s residence, is magnificent and inspiring to behold as well as the artists work.

I wasn't terribly interested in Lautrec either but the venue was a beautiful old castle and it had beautiful gardens in back with a river view and I learned a lot that I wasn't aware of about the artist, a nice visit, all... More
