I expected the exhibition to have more impressionists painters, especially Monet. There were many French painters which were nice to see but not what we expected.

Fondation Bemberg is well worth a visit if you enjoy interesting art, beautiful furniture & stylish décor. An impressive building that represents the significance of the pastel trade in days gone-by.

The Hotel Assezat houses this large private art collection on several floors. There is a very large collection of impressionists, especially Pierre Bonnard

Look: It's not the Frick! But what a charming house museum the Bemberg is. And what an idiosyncratic mishmash of stuff. Ceramics, glass, bronzes, timepieces, candelabra, taxidermy, all scattered about in rooms with plush, lushly colored wall coverings. The art? Nothing really first-rate but much...More
