Tome to stroll along both sides of the river Garonne with some good views and plenty of photos opportunities. This walk can be done in the day and also at night for romantic photos of the bridge who... More

This section of the river had a rich history in the development of early life in Toulouse, the story has been summarised in a number of pretty pictoboards erected in the newly refurbished Quai de la Duarade. The improvements include a playground area incorporated into a life size pirate ship, a real treat for the younger children. I was happy... More

many people come here just to relax, get a bit of sun, and enjoy the truly amazing view, you can walk along the "berges", go up and overlook the river, or go down next to the river

Toulouse, the “red city” of south-west of France has many attractions to offer. The most marking element and reason of Toulouse’s existence is the Garonne River. Therefore, the promenades along booth sides of this river offer magnificent views. One of the most beautiful points to enjoy the view Garonne and its oldest bridge “pont neuf” is Quai de la Daurade.

This area used to be where locals did their laundry and landed fish. There is easy access to the river and some cafes. It's also where boat trips leave for sights of Toulouse from the riverside, including a taste of the Canal du Midi

This is certainly one of the favorite in Toulouse, a very fine late afternoon walk from the Place Saint-Pierre to the La Daurade…

We had been told to get to Pont Neuf for the sunset and the views, but we were not expecting the whole vibrant atmosphere in the Quai de la Daurade area. Young folk everywhere socialising with no hint of any trouble or intimidation. The walk along the Quai de la Daurade was wonderful and the sunset was great to view.... More

Here is a beautiful quay to spend a few minutes or an hour or two, taking in the expansive view of the Garonne.

A stroll along the quai and river Garonne in Toulouse is highly recommended to get the feel of French life in the city. Nice atmosphere, families, friends, parks, picnics, drinking, conviviality French style.
