Don't forget to use the 2 for 1 offer on your Eurostar tickets! Plenty of art work to see, lots of famous artists, though many are difficult to see as they're mounted so high. All in all, worth the money-especially with the discount. Allow an hour an a half to whizz round.

First of all I regret to say that the staff appear to be rather blasé and not at all interested in welcoming you as we were sent from from pillar to post 'pas cette caisse', 'la caisse â côté' without a bonjour or merci. Also the staff in the various rooms were engrossed in their books and sketchbooks, glued to... More

Enjoyed a visit to this museum on a quiet Thursday in February. A few school groups and individual visitors, so nice and quiet. Bit noisy due to building activities. Paintings very interesting and quite diverse.

Really enjoyed this place. Excellent exhibits - the relief models were a revelation. The sculptures & art fantastic. Only disappointment was there was no book to buy. Had to go into town to get one

I was surprised by the breadth of the collection, with some very beautiful works on display. The exhibits are well organised, with rooms grouped either by medium (sculpture, painting) and/or period. The building itself I thought to be rather impressive too. The staff were very helpful. I found the audio guide to be good, although some exhibits weren't represented in... More

A really good collection of religious arts and of course a mini show on Napoleon. During our vist there was an interactive exhibition on a French comic author intertwined into the historic exhibits. If Paris is too far away, Lille gives you a great alternative for the Louvre.

We stopped here in the afternoon and didn't have as much time as we would've liked although we did get a discount for the afternoon arrival. Its a really nice museum, my boyfriend was really excited by the town models, only wish we'd had more time to explore a bit more

There are a lot of different items on exhibition over several floors are sections of a large impressive building. Chances are there is something you will enjoy. If you are an Arts/Museum enthusiast, this could easily fill a whole day. Cost was reasonable.

This gallery contains a truly surprising number of magnificent paintings by the great Masters, in addition to smaller collections of sculptures and artifacts. For us, however, the highlight was the collection of restored models of fortress cities, housed in the basement. There is also a fascinating short-term exhibit on recent non-intrusive investigations into the inner structure of the Egyptian pyramids.... More
