We are four families (16 total!) with teenaged children. We booked a private full day tour due to the size of our group, and we took the train from Paris to and from Bayeux. Our guide Yannick was informed, entertaining, and passionate about sharing his knowledge. We covered the traditional American duties: Utah, Omaha, pointe du Hoc, St Mere Église, and also touched briefly upon the battle of Easy Company. He was able to not only share the logistics of the missions, but introduced us to the personal side of the war with stories of individual soldiers. I would definitely do another tour in the future.
(PS, if you have a Eurail pass, be sure to purchase seat reservations (E 1,50) at the train station either from the counter or the machine. Cannot be done online)

We did the two-day Bradley's Tour, and we couldn't recommend it more.
Our guide was Charles who has an encyclopedic knowledge and tailors the tour to the participants (whether you have read a dozen books beforehand or just seen Saving Private Ryan once). He truly went the extra mile at every point. For example, on the first day, we mentioned our hotel and asked about its history during the war. He researched overnight and came back the next day with the hotel's history. He was also exceedingly polite, spoke flawless English, and had a good sense of humor.

The tour was comprehensive and made the history and stories come alive.
I've never walked away from something feeling quite like I underpaid so much. The price would be sufficient just for the transportation between the sites, even if the driver never spoke. The fact that this price also includes a top-notch tour guide and museum admission makes it a no-brainer. We were very grateful that we chose Overlord Tour!

(Also, they can't represent to you the size of your tour, but for what it's worth, on each day of our tour, my wife and I were joined by two others.)

My wife and I traveled to Bayeux in July 2022 to retrace my father's World War 2 military experience. He served with the 9th Air Force and landed near Utah Beach. We decided to engage Overlord Tours to visit a number of the Normandy Beaches (including Utah Beach), the American Cemetery in Colleville-Sur-Mer, and the village of St. Mere Eglise, among other destinations.

Thierry was our guide for this full-day tour. He was extraordinarily knowledgeable, very personable and provided us with location and related information to assist us in following my father's journey in this part of France. I cannot compliment Thierry and Overlord Tours sufficiently. He was an extraordinary guide who shaped a long and very full day into one that was very meaningful and enjoyable. We look forward to booking additional trips with Overlord Tours and hope to interact with Thierry and similarly professional guides in future months and years.

We were picked up from Le Havre cruise terminal by Yannick for our group of 12 in a very comfortable bus for a full day excursion. We visited Omaha Beach, the War Cemetery plus the towns of Bayeux & Honfleur. Yannick was a fabulous guide with so much knowledge & enthusiasm & I would thoroughly recommend this tour for anyone on a cruise & in port for a full day. Thanks Yannick for sharing Normandy with us Aussies😀

Our excellent guide, Antoine, provided our group of 8 adults in a comfortable van
a full day D-Day tour of beaches, landmarks, churches and cemeteries. He was chosen for us by a local in the area who knew he would be a good fit for our history-oriented group. Antoine is engaging, full of facts yet doesn't just provide an informational presentation. He does that and more. He deftly chats with the group to gauge their personal interests and knowledge and then goes from there to personalize the experience. He is well versed and a pleasant addition to your group.

We opted for Tour #12 – Normandy Jeep Experience – Specialized Tour. From the moment you start your day, it is easy to see why OverlordTour is the number one tour company in the area.

Initially, we scheduled a June tour. Unfortunately, I had to reschedule for a later time in September. Rebecca and Hope guided us through planning our tour and adjusted our dates in short order. OUTSTANDING customer service.

On the day of our outing, we met with our guide, Charles. Charles took time to answer any question we had. More importantly, he discussed lesser know facts. For example, war relic barn finds and repurposed war materials still used today.

We also discussed the role The French Resistance played in facilitating the Allies' rapid advance through France following the invasion of Normandy.

Learning how all the nations worked together for a common goal is critical. A subject matter expert like Charles taking you to key sites and discussing the history is a next-level experience.

Thank you OverlordTour!

ARNO picked us up at our Airbnb and took us on a personalized day tour of the Normandy area. We were following the route of a grandfather's WW2 unit. Arno had researched the unit thoroughly and took us several places our grandfather had likely spent time and also shared information he had discovered about our grandfather's time in France after the Normandy invasion. Arno was friendly and engaging and kept the attention of our 3 teens the entire day. Arno showed us the location of several museums and shared helpful information about each so it was easy for us to plan our remaining days in Normandy. He is very knowledgeable about the Normandy invasion and shared several interesting tidbits we had not encountered before. The Overlord Tour company was prompt and professional and made booking a personalized tour extremely easy. We highly recommend both Overlord Tour and Arno.

It had been a long time dream of mine to see the Normandy landing beaches and the Overlord tours greatly exceeded my expectations. Our guide, Steve, made the experience wonderful for our group, which included my wife, our two daughters , and two grandsons aged 20 and 17. His depth of knowledge of the D-Day landings, his military background, and his passion for military history made for a thoroughly enjoyable three day tour of all the the landing beaches and surrounding areas, as well as the Abbey at Mount St. Michel. He was very courteous and attentive to our needs and wishes. He made sure that we found nice places for lunch which were away from the crowds. His stories of WW2 veterans that he has met and others that he knows the stories of made a great impression on our whole group. There was not a question that he was unable to answer in depth. The tours were actually better than the "excellent" rating that we gave them. It was a truly moving experience!

Our trip to Normandy was on our bucket list. A Tour with the Overlordtour guides came highly recommended by friends and family who had been before. We booked an all day tour of Omaha and Utah beaches, which included the American Cemetery, Point de Hoc, the batteries, several Airborne sites including the Airborne museum and St Mere Eglise. Our small group had four couples and a comfortable mini van. Our guide Guillaume was excellent. His ability to bring history alive with stories, detailed information on the various missions and interesting little known facts about survivors and war heroes was invaluable. Our full day tour on our first of four days in the area gave us the lay of the land and showed us where we wanted to go back to and explore further and which museums we wanted to go see. We highly recommend OVERLORDTOURS and the full day tour. I cant believe how much we saw in one day. We never felt rushed, the pace was good, and we were given time to explore and photograph the different sites before moving on to the next place. We loved staying in Bayeaux and it made it easy to catch the tour there as we could walk from our accommodations to the meeting location. Thank you Guillaume for our unforgettable day. Without you we would have missed so much of what we were seeing

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of being able to tour the American beach sectors and airborne landing sites over two days. Thierry was a phenomenal guide. He presented the information of the landings with an impressive clarity that helped us really visualize the events of the D-Day landings. His stories were fascinating, and included a wealth of details I didn't know. Having read about these events for so many years it was incredible being able to finally see them in person and with such a kind, friendly, and knowledgeable guide. Thierry's knowledge of the Normandy area and even of some of the eldery residents who experienced these events as children, and who still live in the area, is incredible and really speaks to the quality of these tours and the research and scholarship of Thierry. It's hard to give a specific highlight because there were so many. Brecourt Manor stands out. All other aspects of the tour (lunch breaks, restroom breaks, pickup and drop off, etc) were similarly top notch. Overlord Tours was the highlight of our time in Normandy.
