First, I want to start by saying that after taking this tour, I would consider going back to France just to take the rest of Paul's tours! We booked Paul for the two-day American experience, and it was our favorite part of our 10-day trip to France. This trip is truly for someone who wants to learn about D-Day and... More

A fantastic experience. You will not be left disappointed. Pauls breadth and depth of knowledge is astounding and his eloquence is second to none. My adult autistic son was with us and Paul quickly adapted to the changing demands of the party, explaining complex and in-depth situations to my son, and using a lighter tone with us! This I can... If you want to see all the D-Day museums, go to all the tourist attractions, in short do what most people do then then Paul is not for you. If you want to spend a couple of days with a man who knows his stuff and will take you to the places most people never see, and if you want... More

I have visited Normandy twice and have booked with Paul Woodadge both times. The first time was when he ran Battlebus tours company and we did the Band Of Bothers and we did the American Experience a few years later. Both tours were fantastic and have lived long in the memory. Paul has access to sites and knowledge that is... More

Human interest stories. Battle tactics. Strategic context. Irony. Humor. Emotion. He has it all. I've toured with Paul twice now in the past 13 years. I would do it again, and again, and again. Superb knowledge combined with subject matter passion, and a genuine love for Normandy, all make Paul a unique gem. You will be touring with a historian's... More

I have toured with Paul Woodadge numerous times since my first tour with Paul in 2003 and he just keeps getting better and better. In September 2016 I brought two friends to Normandy and we toured two days with Paul. Once again, Paul showed why he is hands down the absolute BEST historian/tour guide in Normandy. He held my friends... More

I took the the American Experience Two Day Tour. First, Paul recommends that you read a couple of books and watch a couple of movies, like The Bedford Boys (book) or Saving Private Ryan or the old b & w, The Longest Day. These will enhance your tour. Secondly, Paul tells about D-Day through the experiences and efforts of the... More

A friend and I did the 2-day American Experience tour and found it excellent. Paul is very knowledgeable and does a good job conveying his knowledge through stories that coalesce into themes regarding the D-Day invasion. He is also committed to giving factual, accurate information, which I very much appreciated. Paul shows many sights that are critically important to the... More

Our youngest son originally found Paul on the web and signed up for a tour on his way back to the U.S. following a study abroad summer, but had to change plans due to a death in the family. My wife and I went with our son the following summer to "make up" his having missed the earlier tour. We... More
