When traveling so far away from home, it is important that everything goes as planned. They had excellent communication and everything was as promised. It was a great tour and the guide was very knowledgeable. If limited time, I highly recommend the tours because you can learn so much more in the limited time.

I consider myself extremely knowledgeable about the Allied invasion and would be willing to be tested on a wide range of facts. With that said, Paul Woodadge changes the game by his pursuit of three themes...the Germans really were too rigid and blew their advantages...the Allies overwhelmed the Germans with ideas, resources and resourcefulness...and the Allies simply;y got lucky. Paul wove these themes starting in very small moments into a comprehensive conclusion over a two day immersion of the American landings at Utah and Omaha Beaches. Paul's commitment to the truth, his attention to details large and small, his focus on communicating to his tour, his enthusiasm, and hard work are invaluable to anyone wanting to literally walk in the Allied soldier's shoes. His respect for the accomplishments of the Allied troops is both sincere and heartfelt. I can recommend him without reservation to anyone willing to put in the time and effort required to keep up with him.

Paul is a great historian, and makes you connect with the Invasion. We just spent 3 days with Paul, touring the American beaches and then traveling to the Faialise Gap to study the Polish 1at Armoured Division. This is the 2nd time that I have toured with Paul. He is the Best!!

We signed up for the two day American Tour experience. What an experience it was! I have read extensively my entire life on World War II so I arrived as a well-informed tourist. Paul did such a fantastic job taking us to specific locations to discuss small unit engagements as well as the significant engagements that occurred on that June morning. We enjoyed Paul's narrative of the events especially. There might be a guide in the area as good as Paul, I cannot imagine one that would be better. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

Paul Woodadge was outstanding in his presentation style and interaction with those of us on his tour. His presentation of the strategic and tactical perspective as well as incredible accounts of individual and heroic actions brought the Allied invasion in Normandy alive in a spectacular way. His collection of photographs of individuals and locations (both recent and historical), maps, documents, and accounts of battlefield actions was incredible. His relationships and interviews with Normandy veterans and French civilians provided a critical human element to the tour that cannot be overstated. Most meaningful were visits to locations of small unit or individual battlefield actions, never or rarely seen by other tours. These locations and actions demonstrated the critical element of individual leadership, initiative, innovation, and heroism that led to American success on the field of battle. Paul’s personal energy, extraordinary knowledge, love of his profession, and unparalled skill makes him the premier guide for Normandy!
