My his amd amd son wanted to visit. It was ok but mostly just a lot of vehicles. A half hour is about all it takes to visit so a bit expensive for what it is.

Well laid out museum, with lots of equipment on display, good descriptions for the items on display and the film they show is good as well. The museum explains the events well and is not one sided or favouring one nation. A good museum to visit before visiting sites around the area to get an overall picture of the D-Day... More

If staying in Bayeux for more than a day (and without access to a car, like us) buy the B3 pass and visit all these museums! This museum was very informative and we learned a lot about the battle of Normandy after our tour of the sights. They only play the movie a few times a day so watch out... More

There are numerous museums around the area that are devoted to the d-day invasion. This was the first one we saw but I would not say it is the best. I would recommend the museum at the American Cemetery which I though was better. Of course the American Cemetery museum is largely devoted to the American participation so this museum... More

we visited the museum in 2016 on our way to visit my great uncles grave in the Bayeux war cemetery. It was a brilliant museum with lots to see and lots of information . would defiantly like to go back again and would recommend the museum if you are in the area.

For our short visit to Normandy, we purposely chose to tour the sites of D-Day instead of the numerous museums. But based on reviews chose this one in the heart of Bayeux as the one we would visit. We were not disappointed. Lots of visual displays and history of the entire war in Normandy, not just D-day. Very good film... More

We spent about 3 hours at the museum which was enough time to see it all including a 25 minute movie in their cinema. The museum focuses specifically on the battle of Normandy and covers it in great detail. Lots of tanks, guns and other old war machines. Definitely worth an afternoon there

Tanks, trucks, jeeps, mannikins with period uniforms, firearms, anti aircraft guns, etc.... It's all here & what you'd expect. Right throughout the exhibition, there are notes written in French & English about the commanding generals from both sides who led the brave men & women of whom nearly a million folk lost there lives on both the allies & the...
