Interesting Look Into The Life Of Erik Satie

Erik Satie was an odd but talented composer and artist. The museum displays his talents and they reveal his playful nature. His dynamic sculptures are simply fun!

The combination of visual and musical beauty, along with a sense of play, made this a memorable and joyous visit for us.

Absolutely fabulous. A not to be missed experience even if you are not a Satie music lover. Very cleverly staged with unusual exhibits and the history of Satie.

A rather wacky museum as others have said, however we enjoyed it as a reflection of the personality of Satie. The music pieces are quite beautiful and his writings fascinating. There is a sense of crazy fun in some of the exhibits which is refreshing, if hard to relate to the subject. Don't bother with the cine video at the... More

Near to the overcrowded old harbour, this provided welcome respite. With background music by this great composer, yo you can enjoy a series of weird and amusing exhibits in this typical old town house.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this museum and pleased to learn more about Eric Satie. I found the headphones comfortable to wear, but felt that a repeat button would have been helpful as I felt I missed some commentary. The whole house was a joy to visit and the piano in the attic playing some of my favourite pieces... More

Should you not be familiar with Satie, you should go there. A very innovative and different way of letting you familiarize with his personality and his works. And if you know Satie, you will find the place very amusant. You will spend here one hour of relaxed fun in an interactive setting

We had been advised to visit Satie Museum and we went being a little cautious as we are not into composers/Arts really. Well it was a lovely visit €6.20 if we had gone to the tourist information we could have brought 4 tickets for all the museums for 12€. We had individual headphone sets to hear the life of Satie,... Worth a visit if you're in Honfleur. I particularly loved the white room. Children went free - but the you younger ones didn't 'get' it at all.
