Interesting but sadly mostly information is in French. I was able to understand some of the descriptions of items due to school French lessons. Would be useful to have other languages as it is an interesting little museum.

You can spend apleasant half an hour here but not much more. Quite a small museum, not a great deal to interest families. Lots of cafes and bars around this area.

We did not have time to really visit the Marine Museum in Honfleur. Frankly did not look to promising so we just took a quick look around and snapped a couple of photos.

For an extra E1.50, one can visit the prison (it has a street named after it). It is next to the museum and according to Annie, more interesting by far. It certainly shows the punishments prisoners underwent, but also life in general at the time;...More

Really interesting museum amongst all the restaurants by the waters edge. Lots of information and artifacts. There is small entrance fee.

If this is your first Honfleur museum, buy the Honfleur Museum Pass and go see the rest of them. Marine Museums are so important, as most of our early civilization took place by the sea or rivers. Transport over land was much more difficult. This...More
