Such a beautiful city with distinctive timber houses and magnificent cathedrals. The street is worth walking, very charming, and felt liked walked into time machine back to a past. I would for sure go back to Rouen. Worth a visit outside Paris.

It's considered as the oldest house of Rouen. I visited when it was decorated due to Christmas but didn't get a chance to go inside as it was too crowded. But I highly recommend to at least view it from outside. (Visited Dec2016)

This is a lovely street to meander along and soak up the culture. Quaint restaurants and shops. Wear comfortable shoes that work with cobblestone streets.

We sat at a cafe across the road from here and studied the buildings. Go in the morning between 0730 and 0900 for good photographs

Probably the most famous street in Rouen, there are little shops and cafes plus the Hotel de la Cathedrale. Famous for the faience shops

This is a wonderful place to stroll and enjoy all of the various forms of architecture, from fairly modern to that which has withstood the test of time and war. It is also a prime shopping venue.

Back from D-Day landing areas on Normandy shores, we enjoyed our stopover at Rouen. Within the amazing old city the pedestrian streets are truly nice: well preserved half-timbered houses built during the Middle Ages are seen around the central market square and cathedral areas. St...More
