- emmanpCheddar, United Kingdom4 contributionsBrilliant family day outFantastic day out. It wasn't brilliant weather and we still had a great day. We only wosh we had turned up earlier as there is so much to see. We have a 5, 8 and a 9 year old. They all had a fantastic time. Unfortunately due to high winds a number of attractions were closed but we still had a great time. The food was reasonably priced too.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 3 August 2023

Eco-friendly slower paced less busy theme park very relaxing and chill, loved the bar next to the antique carousel and vegetable gardens. My mother and toddler loved the gardens and the rides. I loved the family bonding experience. Highly recommend. I look forward to going back. - Emily JRennes, France16 contributionsGreat family day outWe visited yesterday with my parents in their 60s and our children aged 6,4 and 2. We had a brilliant day and there really is so much to see and do. I would definitely recommend buying the two day tickets as we didn’t get to do everything we wanted to. It’s clean and well thought out. There’s an app you can get on arrival which helps you around the park and provides translation too. The only problem was that we didn’t get to do some of the rides due to waiting times being an hour long which was a shame. But despite this, there were so many other things to do.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 15 August 2023

The park had amazing landscaping, especially in the newest areas. It had engaging activities for children and a range of rides.
I had expected something with more ecological credentials and demonstrable impact on sustainability, but this was an incorrect assumption.
An area dedicated to information about birds in a forest was devoid of birds (probably due to the bird noises being played loudly).
The Potager Garden was excellent with lots of good demonstrations of horticultural practices.
This is primarily an amusement park for children and patient parents. Do not expect a uber botanical garden. Expect a well-marketed amusement park using environmental and botanical themes but lacking in specific sustainability and ecological achievements.

We spent a lovely day here, as a family, from a 2 & 5 year old, up to Grandparents. There's something for everyone, and there were no extra charges (apart from food and drink) which was great. My favourite was the 4D cinema experience.

This is a theme park with a difference - don't expect thumping rides and roller coasters but to experience the excitement of an early botanical expedition, learn some botany and ecology and definitely have fun. For example, giant wooden figures talked about the surprising biology of trees; the commentary accompanying the boat ride described the varied history of the Loire. Our small grandchildren especially loved the butterfly house and the merry-go-round, the tree walks and the 4D dinosaur experience. Although we didn't understand all the dialogue in the shows, it didn't matter as the visual effects made for a fascinating experience.
Picnics are not allowed in the park but there is a designated area just outside the gate with tables and canopies. Everything is very clean and well maintained. The staff are exceptional - going out of their way to make us feel welcome and happily speaking English.
We visited on a very cold damp day when two of the rides weren't available (because of the weather) and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We also felt it was very good value for money.

We visited to the park on a sunny day in Angers. I’m not sure if I misunderstood but I don’t think we could book tickets online on the same day. Luckily we bought them at the hotel, but perhaps I mis-read that. I loved the boating and the nut shell ride and especially the 4d experience. My limited French comprehension meant I didn’t understand a lot of the shows, but I’ll keep working on my comprehension. They were still entertaining and I understood bits and pieces. The gardens are beautiful and interesting. It was an easy tram ride from Angers. If you can get the tram and walk 10 mins, do it.
It would be great if there were some vegan options, or a cafe dedicated to vegan food to embrace the plants and environment message. Sorbet is not cutting it for me in 2022 but that’s just a suggestion. I bought some coffee and it was reasonably priced. Not more than I’d pay outside the park which is great.

Absolutely loved it. We visited with a 10 and 13 year old and my elderly parents. Beautiful gardens to suit all tastes, tropical, flower gardens, cactus and even carnivorous! Only queue was for the walnut ride which was 45 minutes but good fun. Such a clean, well managed place. The staff were all so friendly and most tried to speak in English which we appreciate being awful at French. The boat ride was great, as was the 4D show and all the amazing gardens we walked though. A full day. If we didn't live in England we'd be back to visit the evening event which looked great!
