Impressive example of cathedral architecture

The cathedral has some wonderful stained glass and statues but it is the soaring architecture that impresses most

As many churches and cathedrals that there are to see, having Romanesque and Gothic architecture, with its flying buttresses ,in the same building was very interesting to see.

Very impressive even in comparison to the better known French cathedrals, but without crowds of tourists! Take you time to enjoy the details of XII decorations and feel the spirit of this place

Not my main interest, but very impressive. Glass and woodworking are exceptionally well presented. Well worth a visit as part of your tour of this beautiful city. It's stonework outside is fascinating and either better restore or preserved than is usual.

Worth a visit if in the vicinity. Impressive rose windows, stained glass and organ. Good English narratives to aid appreciation.

A most impressive cathedral if this sort of thing interests you. Many wonderful carvings and stained class windows with plenty of information alongside. There is currently some scaffolding outside as they are maintaining the building, but this has been covered very tastefully. Definitely worth a visit.

The original Plantagenet/Angevine vaulting. Different from most cathedrals in France and hence worth the stop. Great view looking back toward the river.

An OK cathedral, free to enter, some good features. Has a treasury, but you can't get up close. Impressive carving on organ.

Beautiful cathedral. Rose windows are impressive and make sure you step back and see the frontage. Lovely.

This cathedral has some fantastic pieces of carving - the organ is immense and the pulpit is a thing of beauty. The marble alter takes your breath away, the stained glass is in tact and plentiful. There are lots of information boards that explain the glass panels and helpful volunteers that tried to help us Englishh speakers! Don't forget to... More
