Unfortunately I am forced to write an opinion to the tourist office but it is not to the team that I address (lady very nice ) but to the city in general. Back from vacation we were passing through Angers for a day. What a dirty city ( smell of pee ), dog punks all over downtown, groups of guys atmosphere not safe and yet we are young!! What a sadness it ruins the stay. Locals told us that the mayor was overwhelmed. It shows I wish you to find the splendor of old... Apparently the city has this bad reputation I didn't know!

Very helpful! Staff gave us a map of the town with a self walking route. We had a great time walking around the place. Lots to see and plenty of places to eat at. Highly recommend a visit to Angers

The city of Angers is tourist friendly, and this is especially evident at the tourism office (across from the Castle of Angers). The woman who helped us spoke English, happily, and was so helpful. She told us many tips for sights to see and what transit to take. It was a pleasure to visit Angers and be welcomed with open arms. We congratulate Angers for being so superior in your service industry.

If visiting a place in France for the first time ALWAYS go to the tourist Information for advice. They are all superb but the staff at the Angers office went one step beyond! Maud went out of her way to help, phoning taxi and restaurant as well as pointing us in the right direction of the places to visit.

The people are friendly, but have no idea whats going on in there port!
They couldnt give us any information about the port authorities or how to park your boat!
They did not even try.

Very close to the Castle of Angers, the staff was very helpful. A few spoke English and could answer basic questions.

Little train goes from across the road and will show you the sights of the town, and is well worth the 7 Euros it costs and saves walking, especially when it is hot.
