Lovely Church great atmosphere , beautiful statues and carving in the local tufo stone. Takes you back to medieval times, with the much worn slabs and ancient tombs

The white tufa stone gleams on the recently restored facade of the Eglise Saint-Pierre. The doors were open on Saturday morning during the market on the Place. We were glad we went in. A peaceful, beautiful space.

Many different styles packed in a relatively small church. A fast visit. Nice ancient city square with restaurants and a market. Saumur Castle is 5 minutes away on foot. Paying parking lot nearby.
