We visited La Pedrera starting March 17--we see the charm of this little seaside town and the dramatic, 30-mile beach. It is, however, quite closed-up feeling at this time of year. Restaurant choices are limited and most places are closed on the main street. Nevertheless, it is a quintessential Uruguayn experience--a mix of elegant houses on the beach and hostals... More

good place to relax, two long stretched beaches, the village is still small but with all you need. Off season it is very "tranquillo" - perfect for those who love it like this

If you are looking for a place to relax, disconnect from the world, this is the place for you. A lovely beach town, with some of the coolest places to rent...and one of the most beautiful beaching in Uruguay. Just remember that if you go during the high season is extremely crowded!

Beautiful beach such as any other one around the area. We didn't find a cheap place around to sleep.

Village on the coast, great views from above the rocky cliffs, overlooking the ocean. Two very long and beautiful beaches on either side of the rocks. One has smaller waves and si suitable for children, the other is a surfers' beach. The village has plenty of houses for rent, and in summer three supermarkets, and several restaurants and bars. In... Small town/village, surround by the sea, with a great atmosphere. Is the perfect place to relax and enter in touch with yourself

I stayed about a mile away from La Pedrera and walked along the beach to go explore the town. It's almost winter there so it's pretty quiet, but the beach was gorgeous and quiet. I roamed around the town for a while-unfortunately not too much was open in the off season. One restaurant was open and one little market-still it... More

I think that Uruguay is one of the best coutry to visite, because there are beautiful places and people, delicious food, exquisite handcraft and low prices. Besides, there are friendly and happy people everywhere! In La Pedrera you can go to the beach with your friends or family during the day, and to enjoy yourself during the night so much!... More

I visited la perdrera after seeing the sagrada familia and parc guell. I wouldn't say la perdrera was a disappointment, but it wasn't that exciting either. The best part was the attic level where you learned more about how Gaudi accomplished his work, his inspirations in nature, and his other projects. If your time is tight, You might consider choosing... More
