My wife and I stopped in here while walking after dinner and ended up staying for a while. If there is a stereotype for a local French bar in the movies this is it. this place has been there since 1933. You have to be...More

Stumbled across this place while on vacation. Had two hours to explore on our own. What a cool place. We had the "red " guinette. Very good. Owners were super nice even though there was a language barrier. You must try this place. Great little...More

I sat with my children outside round a barrel and played games. Perfect atmosphere outside and in. The wine is served in small glass cups and merely serves to add an alternative air to the dark den inside. Despite the overriding attempt to be different...More

We went to this bar because of the reviews and we were not disappointed the bar menu is limited and the decor very very basic but it is a fab way to drink some local produce and experience La Rochelle away from the port"

This is the best bar in La Rochelle. So traditional & the drinks are delicious & the cheapest in France I reckon. Try the red fruits, gorgeous!! Be aware of opening times, like everywhere in France they open at lunch time then close for a...More

This place was empty on a rainy Sunday, but the ambience is unbelievable, it must have been an old Wine Depot for the Fishing industry originally and has been converted into a bar in the 1960's
