We found this route by accident travelling the coast road toward Toulon, and what an experience! An amazing roller coaster of a route with stunning views, rocky terrain, and the added stimulus of not wanting to fall over the side! We were lucky as the road can be closed when there are high winds or very bad weather, and though... More

The road is fun even on a cold and cloudy day, and there are plenty of places to stop off and enjoy the views. We even managed to bag a parking space on Cassis seafront so we could take a stroll round the harbour. But it must be a nightmare driving along such a twisty and narrow road in the... More

I drove here without expecting the drive to be similar to gorge du verdon. Winding narrow bendy roads. It's pretty scary for me who has vertigo. It's winter season so I can afford to go slow without many cars behind me. If you are not confident of driving such roads, start your journey towards la ciotat rather than the other... More

A great road going out of Cassis. A few view points on the way overlooking the bay of Cassis. Stop and don't miss. One of the nicest ways in the area .

An amazing route, 10 km long, many curves on the way and many places to stp and adore the view. Nevertheless, I must admit that I liked better the route with the same name in the gorge of Verdon.

We have done it from Cassis, at the sunset. AMAZING. Take your time and stop at every view point; each and every one offers you new perspective to Cassis, to the coast and to the sea. If you are comeing from Toulon you might get out of the highway at Ciotat in order to acceed Cassis and not to pay... More

It was our favourite part of trip down to Provence area. Absolutely stunning views and Cap Canille is a must - the highest open cliffs in France. We would do it again!

We traveled this route as the sun was going down so the views were dramatic and there were few cars and no busses. We were told though that during the day when it is busy there are professional thieves that break into cars even if you are gone for only a few minutes.

Driving along this mountain road are absolutely spectacular panoramic views of the Mediteranean coastline and mountains. Several vista points along the way alow your step out and soak the scenery. Unlike other mountain roads in the area that feature a single lane for two-way traffic, this was a very leisurely drive.
