Interesting and old historic church. Beautiful interior and gives spiritual feelings. For a quiet moment or two on your walking around Arles and seeing this sights this is a good place for some quiet time. So, worth the time to visit and take a quiet moment to reflect on the interesting sights in Arles.

The church has a very nice portal and an ancient interior. Looks to be very old and gives a nice atmosphere. It looks a bit worn down but this is to me not because it is not looked after. The cloister also seems worth a visit although have not gaken time for this.

Not only is the church really interesting and beautiful but the cloister is really amazing; the detail on the capitals is unique. The english guide we bought from the tourist office made the visit even better as it helped with the many biblical references.

While visiting Arles, we stumbled across this church and decided to go in and check it out. While not architecturally overly interesting, it is a lovely smaller church with an imposing entrance and stained glass windows. It attaches through a courtyard to a monastery (entrance fee) which we elected not to visit. I would not go out of your way... More

The Eglise St Trophime has a fascinating entrance! Over the door is Jesus, executing judgment for those passing to the after life. On the left, are the righteous who are going to Heaven; on the right are those going to Hell, walking in chains along a path of fire! There is a small panel depicting Mary after giving birth to... Sorry, I wasn't thrilled by it. You see so much that a site needs to wow me to give it a real high rating. I should have given it more time I guess.

St Trophime is a very well preserved 12th century Provencal Romanesque church. The portal into the church with its theme of Last Judgement is elaborate and interesting. To the right of the Church is the cloister that merit a visit. The church is located on Place de la Republique - a nice spot for people watching.

During our walking tour of Arles we came upon the Eglise St. Trophime. The square is large with an obelisk in the center.

In the Place de la République, this church is a main attraction. It is free to the public and you enter through the side door. Worth a visit because no doubt you will be going past it many times while visiting Arles.
