The Island itself is beautiful. The museum is quite interesting .Worth visiting. The murals on the walls are stunning. Enjoyed the trip. Would recommend this.

A very small collection of artifacts, largely from the sea bottom, reminders of the ancient world of sea trade. The collection is not outstanding but shouldn't be missed if you have made your visit to the cell of the Man in the Iron Mask.

Another museum not worthy it's name... Their permanent collection is a waste of time, but they sometimes hold modern art exhibitions that may be interesting.

This is not what you can expect from an attraction in Monaco. The overall presentation and experience is outdated and not exciting at all. Just lucky we were 2 adults because children and teenagers must be bored with such an experience. To illustrate my point, it is like attending a boring over-head projector presentation when you have access to all... More

We visited here on our trip to the island for the day. I am sad to say that for us it wasn't that good. There was little to visit in the prison and few facts or anything interactive about the Man in the Iron Mask. If it wasn't so expensive (€6.50 for an adult - teenagers are free!) then it... More

This museum houses ancient roman artifacts from the 1st century AD which was very cool to see. The price of admission is free if you have a student ID. This is also where the Prison museum is located. We enjoyed our visit!

Musée de la Mer has a nice collection of ancient jars found off the coast of Sainte Marguerite Island. There is the prison cell of the famous Man in the Iron Mask. If you can manage to get a guided tour, it is worth the information and historical facts you will learn about the Island and Cannes.

This museum is famous basically because of it's association with Man in the iron mask. More of a prison with various cells, this a small museum with not much to see but still good for a one-time visit.

The museum is what drew us to the Island in the first place. It is a pretty simple museum. There is signage in English which is very helpful and not all that common in France. However, no guide book in English. There is a charge, something like 6 Euro. The bulk of the museum displays are on maritime finds from... More

We liked the Fort Royal because we came upon it after a big walk round the island followed by a nice swim to cool off and at that point we were just in the mood for a bit of culture. The fort is an impressive piece of military architecture and I think you need the guided tour to get the... More
