LA ROYRIE is an olive grove in Grasse, France – the world capital of perfume founded in the 15th century, producing the most beautiful form of the olive: the quintessential perfect oil, one of the best European oil, produced in a fantastic organic garden. Monique and Lionel Brault decided to better inform the consumer through visits of the olive grove and training sessions: information, comparisons and olive oil tastings. The visits are made by the owner in French and English, only on reservation call before

The tour takes you around the olive tree garden where your host and manager of the domaine tells interesting historic details about the trees, the oil & the location. While he is talking there is a great opportunity to look around and enjoy the great view of the hills and ocean. The tour ends with a tasting of the oils... More

A small detour from the center of Grasse was totally woth the trip. Two couples from Iceland delighted after the visit. We had absolutely no idea of the process of olive oils and the guided tour was fun, enchanting and educational. The olive oils are superb and we can't wait to use them for dishes and deserts.

We surprised Lionel by asking for an olive grove tour the day after we called. He had many things on his plate, but was gracious and kind enough to fit us in. He met us and showed us around the olive grove recounting its history and he & his wife's reclamation of the grove (in English). It was fascinating. We... More

a little difficult to reach without a car, but it is worth the time ... very different from the noisy Cannes (where we were stationed) or the "capital of perfumes" (Grasse), which is nearby. strongly recommended to people who want to see (and hear) something that you don't meet every day the discussion (and basically the whole visit together with... Such a wonderful day out - Lionel was so welcoming it was very interesting to learn about the origins of the grove. Lionel's wife also makes delicious preserves! Highly recommended!

My family and I spent one morning of our European vacation with Lionel, at his peaceful olive grove in Grasse. This was a lovely visit with Lionel explaining and showing us how he restored the abandoned grove, uses only organic farming methods and now produces one of the best olive oils in the region. In addition to olive trees and... More

Well worth a visit to learn the production of an excellent olive oil equal to a superb wine. Lionel conducted the tour in English and was a wealth of information. The olive oil tasting was surprisingly good and necessitated a purchase as it was incomparable to shop bought oil. Toilets were rustic but had everything you needed.

We read the reviews on trip advisor and knew we had to go. At the time, I was pregnant and we couldnt exactly do any wine tastings in the provence/bordeaux region so this was the next best thing, and it did NOT dissapoint! Monique and Lionel were so warm and hospitable. My husband booked this for my birthday and after... More
