We really liked this beach which had the feel of an English seaside, without pier or penny slots. In the last half of September, there were also lifeguards and the beach was not crowded. There is even a Surf School! - almost Cornish! You can easily spend the day here, and it is only a short walk to Port Frejus... More

We went to Base Nature after looking on Trip advisor on things in our area . We have been to a few beaches in and near Frejus and this was basically a beach with a large car park . Much nicer areas of coast line to use and explore .

We found this large parking area by accident - you can't park by the harbour arm as it's prebooked for boat owners so don't try. This is very close to there and is on the beachfront. They charge for half and full days but if you arrive around 11 they only charge for half a day (4.50 euros). Loads of... More

If you're after a no frills beach with decent sand, lifeguard and safe, shallow water then you won't be able to fault the beach at base nature francoise. Parking was 2.5€ for half a day but it was easy to get to and hassle free so worth it.

Often crowded, the parking may be full but the size of the beach is good. It is clean and nice for families.

I think this place was once an airfield. Plenty of chance for either a leisurely stroll or for the more energetic you can use the free facilities available. Plenty of free parking

We were staying at a nearby campsite and another family recommended this place as somewhere free to park to visit the beach at Fréjus. We ended up spending a couple of afternoons here. As other reviewers have said it used to be an old naval base and there is at least one old building still In existence on the site.... More

Just by the beach a must for anyone who likes to put on a pair of running shoes to get rid of the previous days excesses. Join the cyclists and the skaters before adjourning to the nearby beach.

Okay beach, big open areas, but not interesting at all. Maybe a nice place to go if you live in an appartment without garden or you are having a picnic with a lot of people. But it is really not worth going if you are interested in doing sightseeing or walking in beautiful nature

Basically this is from the old naval airbase that closed in the 90s and is a great place to go for a run or jog. The runways are there too, so if you fancy doing some interval training this would be a great place to do it. Alternatively a couple of laps of the airfield would give you a 2-3... More
