Closed on Mondays. Opening hours: 10-12; 14-18. Free. This museum is a good complement with the Balzi Rossi Museum, just after having passed the Italian border, in Ventimiglia, 2-3 kilometers away. It is better organized than the Italian once, because it has a quite rich...More

A much more interesting museum than we anticipated especially, after having taken part in an archaeology course before Christmas, we could identify a lot of the exhibits. The staff could not have been more helpful and even offered us chocolates!

Interesting story and displays of the earliest inhabitants of the Cote d'Azur. We made a quick tour of the museum and, unfortunately, all displays in French and we did not have English translation available to us. Not sure if available, would have really helped!

This gives a good picture of the ancient history of this area and early man. Unfortunately there was no English translation so it wasn't easy to learn alone could.
