terrible and forgetable experience

I had booked a trip through Tour Azur for Provence Countryside Small Group Day Trip with Grasse Perfumery Visit from Nice on 10th October. Three days before the trip they communicated to sa they cant go ahead thus putting my ona spot.. absolutely poor ownership by this company , they could not even accomodate me in another day. i had requested that can i participate in anther trip as the time is so short and i had a packed schedule and could not contcat another tour operator. all thy said was to contact Trip advsior. zero support form this operator and zero support form Trip advisor and Viator.. This was the second trip in recent times that i booked through Trip advisor and Viator and it was cancelled a couple of them were in Barcelona. I had to book through GET YOUR GUIDE another portal at midnight and there was another tour company who covered the above through. trip advisor and viator probably does not have any whatsapp suppost whilst Get your guide immediately jumped in and took care and helped book me ona rivera trip where i was able to cover the fragonard factry etc etc. very poor experience. the most unprofesisonal part was cancellation at the last minute. the most basic expectation from trip advsior is t reach out toa customer when one of its tour operators cancel a trip and try to give alternatives. else the days of only providing a portal and doing pass through busienss will not help in the long run. terrible forgettable experience.

Day trip to Nice
Aug 2019 • Family
The children found Nice boring in comparison to Monaco, St Tropez and Cannes.

We took the train from St Raphael to Nice and took the sights seeing bus. It seemed a bit rambled and the Audio wasn’t that good.

We got off to go for lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe . This place seemed to lack any atmosphere and the food was ok.

We then walked up to the I love Nice sign and took in the views of the castle and waterfall on the hill. We then strolled through the old town, missed the good ice cream shop and walked back through the new town to the train station.

We stopped in Cannes on the way back to St Raphael and an ice cream

Day trip to Monaco
Jul 2016 • Couples
We booked the full day trip visiting Eze, Monaco and MonteCarlo. Picked up from our hotel by a mini bus. Just six of us that day. Our driver Rolf was a font of knowledge taking us to the best view points along the route and pointing out trivia and historical facts. Never feeling rushed and given plenty of time to visit each attraction along the way. Our free time in Monaca was spent in the Palace and the car museum. Then on to MonteCarlo to see the casino, cafe de Paris etc etc and for the F1 fans a trip around the track. Brilliant day with so much info along the way there and back. Highly recommend *****

Definitely the way to go!

Our tour guide, Sami was really fun and knowledgeable. What a splendid day! So glad I opted for this rather than checking this all out on my own. It was social, informative, and relaxing as you don't have to navigate traffic, tolls and parking or deal with gas. My only suggestion would be to skip the perfumery tour which eats up a lot of time and spend more time at the other places as it feels rushed. Although the perfumery tour was informative this goes more with a Grasse, Provence tour. I especially liked the two ancient stone villages that we went too and the glitz of Monaco.

Traveling in Nice
Jul 2015 • Solo
I can recommend sightseeing tour - the route is very interesting, russian audiogide is qualitative and in time (for example, in Paris they talks about places when you don't see them). You can stop near most popular places ot visit but check before if they are opened!

Monaco, Eze day trip A+
We did the day trip to Monaco and Eze today with the guide Paul. It was great. Paul picked us up from the hotel early and was very welcoming. He knew so much about the local area and took us on a beatiful drive. We went to Eze where we had free time and visited a great parfumerie, then onto Monaco where we had 3 hours of free time to explore. Then we went to monte Carlo and had more free time. We organized and great day trip. Thanks Paul :-)

Nice Attractions
Apr 2011 • Couples
One of the best ways to appreciate the attractions of Nice (Nice la Belle) is to view it from the top of its Castle. The panorama is unique taking in the Angel Bay, the city itself and its surroundings. To the east, can be seen Mont Boron and the Port district, constructed during the reign of Charles Emmanuel the Third of Savoy. To the West, the new town can be seen climbing the nearby hills. The airport can be made out in the distance and the Cap’d Antibes forms a perfect backdrop to the scene. Nice castle itself has been a fortified iron-age camp, an Acropolis for the Greeks of Marseille, a Roman fort and, during the Middle Ages, a citadel of the Counts of Provence and the kings of Aragon.

At the foot of the castle the Old Town spreads itself out between Pailon and the Mediterranean. It is unquestionably the most picturesque part of the entire city. In each of its highly coloured alleyways can be found houses that cover the entire spectrum, from white to red ochre. The streets of the old town, like its many stairways, climb, twist, turn and descent through the crowded districts of la Boucherie, le Marche, La loge and Les Voutes where delightful, sing-song accents of the local populace can be heard everywhere.
