Saw the amazing dome of the cathedral when we were up castle hill and the interior is as nice as the outside. Very peaceful inside and well worth a stop for a seat and contemplation, regardless of religion.

Sainte Reparate might not be as impressive as the cathedrals of the north, but it does its best in being as flashy as possible with the gold decor. Now, I personally am not crazy about the Baroque period; it's too gaudy for me. I lean more towards the Gothic/flamboyant Gothic/Renaissance side. However, as a history fan, I consider every cathedral... More

Very nice baroque style cathedral in the heart of the old town. Huge interior with beautiful stained glass and sculpture, gilded pulpit...Gothic spires reaching upward from the exterior. Great photo ops for the shutterbug.

We've seen far to many cathedrals to be overly impressed but they are working hard to make the façade clean and attractive. If you like visiting cathedrals, you won't be disappointed.

This lovely Baroque style Cathedral is in the heart of the Old town and is easily found when walking along the Rue Rossetti at the Place Rossetti. This is the heart of the tourist area and so the Cathedral attracts a large number of visitors. It can get quite crowded. The Cathedral is dedicated to a third century Christian martyr,... More

I wouldn't call the Cathedral impressive, but it is worth a quick visit. When I was there, the church had a (small) exhibition about the use of God and religious themes in advertising, which I thought was a cool, rather progressive, proposition.

Beautiful cathedral, huge inside. Haven't found anything particular with respect to the tens of other cathedrals I have seen around Europe, though.

We set aside a morning to visit this cathedral and it was a morning well spent. So many beautiful religious buildings restrict public access so it was a pleasure to find this one free, and right in the centre of the Old Town, people just wandering in, as one should be able to God's house, admiring the fabulous art respectfully... You come across this bang in the middle of old town, and it is indeed splendid and serene. It is a nice place to visit, because of the old world charm and architecture. We recommend you walk into it, and spend sometime, probably catch the organ playing too, which is very soothing.
