Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What they have is not bad and they have a few very nice pieces, but they have very, very little on display here. Very little. It seems it’s not a space issue. They could fit more. The question is, do they have more? I am betting not. Regardless, I would not recommend coming here unless you are staying at a hotel near the airport or you were planning to combine this with a stopover at the botanical garden and even then I would say it’s a very low priority if you only plan on staying for 2-4 days. There are far better uses of your time.

Some great art works from several Asian Countries, but a very old fashioned exhibition style without any context. All artifacts poorly lit against boring white walls. Visitors learn only very little about the culture. Approach is very 20th century. Only few text in English, so we had to you Translate all the time.
Bamboo exhibition was very intersting, but again visitors could use more info and context, for instance photographs. What a great museum this could be with an ambitieus staff.

We love Asiatic art effects and wherever we are always go to the Asian Museums. This was a small museum a way out of Nice central which does not charge an entrance fee. The items were beautifully displayed. A bonus was that there was also an exibition of YSL clothes on when we went in September. Fantastic. Thanks to the ladies who worked there who pointed out the lift for me as I had trouble with the stairs (problem knee) and also to the ladies who phoned for a taxi for us.

This is a fascinating museum where you can easily lose a few hours browsing the exquisite exhibits. Entrance is free, but special events, such as the tea ceremony (highly recommended) carry a small charge.

15 minutes before the museum closed we were in the shop trying to make a purchase. The staff was extremely unfriendly and asked us to leave because he was closing. We told him that there are still a few minutes and that we would like to make a purchase. He literally pushed us out of the shop. It shows that a) he is not interested in selling anything from the shop, b) he has no qualms about mistreating visitors. A very unusual and extremely unpleasant experience.

This was my favourite place in Nice; very unexpectedly. Modern marble building "floating" on a lake, representing a cygnet (young swan). Looks odd from the outside but feels great from the inside, perfect for art. Well lit, with good descriptions in French and English. Free entry to small but very high quality museum of asian arts. Special room for Japanese tea ceremony. Small cafe. Excellent small gift shop with lovely cards and gifts. Museum features sculpture and paintings from India, Japan, China, South-East Asia, and on the top floor a temporary exhibition (til 24 June 2018) of Mongolian art including many beautiful brush and watercolour horse activities (hunting with eagles, hunting with a leopard, musicians, princes and princesses on horseback). They were so lively and so good I looked at them all individually and I'm not even interested in horses. To get there, take the local bus along the Promenade des Anglais towards the Airport and get off at Parc Phoenix. The entrance is round the back, next to the Park Phoenix entrance, very close to the Novotel and Ibis Suites. Highly recommended if you like modern architecture and/or art.

It is firstly, a wonderfully striking modern architectural structure. Designed by Kenzo Tanze, using the harmony of circles and squares to integrate a spirituality to this edifice. Its cultural eye-candy. the museum overlooks a lake and Phoenix Parc. Divided into four sections with outstanding works exemplifying Chinese,Japanese, Cambodian and Indian civilisations
You will experience antiques, modern, precious arts & crafts, as well as,form and colours depicting its historical originality. Its very sensitively curated and spaced. Enjoy the beauty of the jade, celadon, bronzes and sculptures in red & grey sandstone from cambodia and superb collections of silks.
This museum unites the spectrum of works that date back centuries with collections of contemporary arts. You cannot possibly do this joint quickly.
Tip....take a packed lunch with you to enjoy in the marvellous surround
tip......if you have never understood Zen.....perhaps ,this may lift your lid

This is a small collection but three or four good pieces there and they are very well displayed. the building itself is an attractive example of moern architecture and nearby you have the Parc Phoenix with a splendid tropical house with enormous plants and trees and many unexpected animals - crocodiles and flamingoes among them. The park has, somehow, a slightly sad air, but is well worth a visit

We wanted to visit the Parc Pheonix. This little museum is right beside the park and is free. It's a little gem. A bit of a hike to get to, as it is near the airport, and there is construction everywhere. The collection is small but well displayed. There are laminated explanatory notes in English in each of the rooms, if you're not comfortable in French. Well worth visiting.

Art from India, Japan, China, Indonesia, Nepal, Central Tibet, South Asia (Vietnam, Cambodia), in a modern, beautiful building surrounded by water, and connected with the Phoenix Parc.
This museum is a perfect destination for Asian Arts lovers and it's also a great place for relaxing due to the beauty of its surroundings.
Besides having a remarkably beautiful and diversified collection, the museum also houses temporary exhibitions of great artistic and cultural interest.
At the time of our visit, paintings and sculptures of Indian contemporary artists were being showed under the suggestive name of "8 Masters from Bengal, the Miracles of Existence".
The visitor can also have the exciting experience of the "tea ceremony", with previous reservation. During our visit we made a break to taste Japanese sweeties, it was very nice!
