About
This historic part of Nice feels like a medieval village with narrow streets curving between old buildings with red-tile roofs, small restaurants and open-markets.

This place is great to see plenty of history Make sure you have your walking shoes on. Lots of walking not really suitable for disabled people and access is bad. Cobbled streets. Shame about the shops don't seem to fit into the site but that's...More

You really have to visit this in Nice , it's a beautiful part of the city . Less grand in parts but full of colour and atmosphere. Very busy at times but enjoyed our wander through it.

Have visited Nice multiple times, the Old town section is a must see. The streets are narrow and lined with shops and restaurants/cafes. Tons of character. Stayed at a AIrBNB in Old Town, it was quiet at night and felt very safe walking late at...More

When visiting Nice you must go to the Old Town; I have never seen so many eating spots, all in one place! While most of their menus are more or less the same, the prices can and will vary. Walking around and checking the offerings...More

Apartment right next to the steps of old town. Great walking with many sites to see. Great restaurants, bars, shops and pastry. Very close to the seaside. Loved it.

We walked through the old town and up the hill to the lookout. We had to keep on stopping to take photos. Nice surprised us. The old town was beautiful and grungy. Full of alleys and little hidden walkways. A feast for the eyes!

Many shops to visit - the French clearly have a lovely sense of style. The small fashion shops are lovely to visit (I am no fashionista but still worth a visit)

Plenty of Restaurants, Shops, Markets, and odd and ends. A great place to feel the character and soul of Nice. Take your time and enjoy all of the shops and the sights.

We used Uber. There is also the tram service. Both inexpensive options with the former the easiest!

There is some road construction as you approach Nice but is concentrated near the harbour. I was there in June so it may be finished. It did not look to be a massive project. Happy travels.
