A great place for the "taste" of old Nice. A wonderful flower, vegetable and produce market. The perimeter has a selection of reasonable restaurants. It can get incredibly busy and packed with tourists with a few tourist type stalls (don't but!) so best to visit off-season when visitors will see the "genuine" Nice market and stall-holders. Around the market site,... More

Not really a tourist attraction but a nice experience in a place where locals shop. Wonderful to appreciate the culture of the community. Great for people watching. Beautiful flowers.

Without question this is a spectacular market one of the best I have ever spent a morning walking through. It is full of exotic flowers and inexpensive bouquets however it is not simply a flower market. There are so many beautiful offerings to see and taste this market is overflowing with color and personality whichever way you turn your head.... More

I love markets and this is one of the best ones we've visited. Right in the centre of the old town filled with locals and tourists. Selling flowers, fruit, locals foods and gifts. The smells and sights are amazing and when you've exhausted yourself sit in the sunshine and have a coffee and watch the world go by. On 6... More

This is a very nice farmers market near the old town. They have beautiful flowers, plants, fresh vegetables and candied fruits. Olive of all kind that I was able to mix and buy in a bag. Vendors were also selling olive oils, lavenders and sachet , soaps, towels, and they had this cute spice grinders that I bought for myself.... More

I love visiting markets and this was a great one--it's right off the Promenade des Anglais and is easy to find. It's pretty typical of many markets--you can buy fresh fruits and vegetables, but also some souvenir things (e.g., soaps, lavender, olive oil, honey, etc). There's also a large variety of flowers and shrubbery for sale. Plus, after all the... More

This regular flower, produce, and gifts market is a fantastic place to buy local foods and people watch. If you can't cook I recommend getting some food or treats for a picnic or simple meal. Several venders speak some English but all are willing to work with you if you know some French words or point to what you want.... More

Nice square in the Old Town. It's a little hidden, a small hidden gem. The restaurants surrounding are nice .

We wandered around this fantastic market on our recent trip to Nice and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The Cours Saleya market overflows with fresh produce, cheeses, olives, herbs, flowers and charm. A veritable kaleidoscope of sights and smells, it’s bursting with history, ambiance, and culinary inspiration. Just off the main market area you can purchase some great local art from... More
