This was a private tour that I booked for the two of us. We were originally going to dock in Nice but our cruise ship changed our itinerary and we docked in Cannes.I emailed with Guy and he confirmed that we could take the same tour from Cannes. Guy was waiting on the dock for us with a sign. He had a very nice air conditioned Mercedes Van. He drove us to all of the sights we had requested. He suggested a restaurant for us to have lunch in. He also waited for us in Monte Carlo so we could go inside and gamble. We were able to fit everything in and he got us back to our ship on time.

We had two AMAZING tours with Guy and Alex! They are so knowledgeable and fun to spend the day with. Our trip to St. Paul de Vence and the wineries was a day to remember forever. Our teenagers were thrilled with the whole day. Our Verdon tour was stunning. Alex was a great driver on a difficult ride. We cannot wait to come back to Nice and your with them again!

Having seen most of the French Riviera on previous trips we were unsure of where we should venture to on our half day tour with Guy.
He helped us decide on 2 towns and they were delightful. Tourettes Sur-Loup was our first stop (it was so lovely to see a non-touristy town) followed by Saint Paul De Vence just 15 minutes away - I only wish I could have stayed here longer!
Guy was a friendly, knowledgeable, professional and personable and catered to the comfort and safety of our 15 month old daughter as well as our desire to understand the history of and explore beautiful new towns.
We were very happy with the service Guy provided us. Thank you Guy!

Booked a tour with this company due to its excellent ratings...but I was disappointed. Waited in the hotel lobby as requested by the tour company...waited and waited, no one came in..then I noticed a van parked outside...so i went there and asked the driver ( turns out he is the owner called Guy) and I asked him if he was the tour company. He said Bonjour. Once again, I repeated the same question ...he again said in a loud voice Bonjour...then I realized that this Guy won't talk to me unless i greeted him..which I did. He then confirmed that he was with the tour company...never told me why he did not come into the lobby. Anyway, after three stops, he confronted my wife and accused her of not telling him Hello. Something wrong here..we are the customers, he is supposed to tell us hello, both the other way around. Guy did not give us any time to eat lunch, while driving to EZE, he stated that we will only stop for one hour, not the 1.5 hours as promised by the tour company. When i repeated, One Hour, he screamed at me and went into a long rant about the traffic. Finally, the tour clearly stated that we will stop at a perfume factory which was along the way.....by Guy kept driving..and did not stop..when I protested, he did not answer me. My wife was quite disappointed. If you look at the previous review rated poor, you can clearly tell that Guy has a major attitude problem and he can be very unpleasant. Who wants to go on a tour where your guide ( can't understand most of his accent) behaves like a teacher and is constantly scolding you. Avoid this company.

Dear Said. I'm really sorry for you because you must really hate me we had a tour together 3 month ago, and you already wrote a very bad review about me 1 month ago, but TripAdvisor removed because your words was really hard. I am really sorry that you had a bad tour with me, the other two couples were very happy you can read the comment posted in July 23 written by Inna, she was with us on the tour. Now I understand that you do not love me that is not a problem, but it is not necessary to lie to the people into thinking that I'm late, and I yelled at you, or that I did not give you enough time to visit the village or to go to the Fragonard perfumery. If we spent an hour in the village instead of 1:30 is because as you know there was an accident on the highway where we are stuck for an hour. And I confirm I speak English with a French accent (of course) which is normal as you speak English with your Indian accent. Where is the problem ? Anyway people will judge. Said I realy wish you more love in your heart and much less hatred ! Guy

After going on this tour based on great reviews, I was really surprised by Guy's attitude. There were 4 of us on Tour 1, my friend, myself and two other travelers. From the start he seemed annoyed and chastised the two other travelers when they were 5 minutes late getting back to the car in Cannes. When I asked a question about Picasso's studio at the next stop, he rudely said "I must have not been listening in the car."

Since this was an 8+ hour tour, we assumed there would be time allocated for lunch. Guy told us this was not the case when we asked in the afternoon (the plan of the day was never shared) and recommended we snack along the way. We picked up some food in Eze, thinking we could eat on the way to the next stop. Guy said his car was "not a restaurant and we were not allowed to eat in it".

The day was not relaxing as we had very little time at each stop and Guy acted more like a disapproving teacher than a guide.

Eze and Antibes are well worth the visit, but I suggest you book with someone else.

Dear Liz, How can you talk about my attitude when you book a tour for 3 people and on the day of the pick-up you arrive with 15 minutes late and you are only two people instead of 3. When there is a no show we have to charge you the full amount but I didn't do it, and I still greeted you with a smile, and this even you were 15 minutes late. How can you talk about attitude when you and your friend had only talk about business all along the way as I tried to do my job, you kept ignoring me all day. How can you talk about attitude when in Eze village I gave you 1,5 hours free for lunch and you come back with two XL Pizza to eat in the van, I confirm ounce again yes the van is not a restaurant. We work with luxury vehicles and I did not want to have the smell of your pizza or chips in the vehicle which is quite normal and respectful for other customers !! How can you talk of attitude when you have listened strictly nothing and ignoring me and the two other customers all day. It is not a guide you needed but only a taxi driver, please don't talk about attitude if you don't know what it mean. Guy

Last week (last week? It almost seems like a "lifetime" ago now), I did 2 tours with Guy, the very professional, enthusiastic and knowledgeable owner/tour guide of RivieraTogether Tours.
Guy's passion and love for this area, his entertaining history telling, safe driving in a comfortable van and reasonable rates, makes this a Number 1 Tour company, and I can recommend his services to all.
The best part of both the tours we did, (half day Eze, Monaco & Monte Carlo) & the full day "Taste of Provence" Tour), were exploring the small hilltop fortified villages such as Eze, Tourette's sur Loop, St Paul de Vence & Gourdon, where I lunched on a delicious hot goats cheese salad with fresh bread & wine - "heaven" indeed!
Another highlight, was our visit to the Fragonard Perfume factory in Grasse - wonderful scents & interesting to view, and best of all, the opportunity to buy gorgeous perfumes & soaps at reasonable prices.
I regret now, that I didn't do the Best of the Italian Riviera Tour as well. That will definitely be on the list for next time. It is so much easier to be shown around the best areas of Southern France when one has limited time to do so, and is unfamiliar with the roads etc. Guy certainly showcases the most scenic areas, and also times his arrival at certain attractions perfectly - such as for the changing of the guard at Monaco Palace.
We were very lucky with the weather too - Nov 20 & 21 with warm 18 or 19 degree days and no rain, and perfect weather for very clear photos.
We also used Guy to transfer us from our hotel in Villefranche-sur-mer to the Nice Ville railway station. As we departed, Guy very kindly gave us a "Goodie Bag" of snacks, fruit and water to enjoy on our long trip back to Paris. A gesture very much appreciated - "Merci beaucoup Guy!" You are indeed NO 1!!

I hired GUY for a half-day excursion in Nice. This 4.5-hour exploration turned out to one of the many real highlights in my first-ever trip to Côte d'Azur, which is an utter epitome of France – a heart-breakingly charming wonderland.

His pick-up was at our appointed time, sharp. With him as a guide, we covered a cherry-picked galaxy of sights in the Old Town. The mountain-top cemetery (where a truly amazing view was accompanied by some thought-provoking sounds of the church bells), waterfall, fairy-land-like passageways leading up to the apex, mind-blowing ocean view, wide-spread landscape of Nice as a whole, and his euphonious commentary have blended pleasantly to infuse me with a much more profound knowledge of this visually wonderfully – yet historically enriched – city.

In his early forties and with quite an athletic backdrop, GUY is definitely the right guy to be had when you pay a visit to NICE. He is a very safe driver, easy-going person to talk with, very much considerate of your personal needs and profoundly knowledgeable about his inhabited place.

This extremely pleasing excursion ended in the Old Town, where he took me to a handful of the very best restaurants, invited me to try some truly delicious foodstuffs, told me where to eat and what to see in the evening. If you are visiting Nice, be SURE to cover the market in Old Town – it is such an irresistible delight to get there: everything Peter Mayle described in his books not only lived up to, but also FAR exceeded my expectations!

Did I forget to mention that he looks and feels somewhat like George Clooney, in reality? ^_^

Hire this GUY, and you will be glad that you read this very thread.

"At first, my husband and I planned on doing a Provence road trip on our own but with so much ground to cover (and 3 kids in tow) we decided to look for someone who could drive and guide us thru. Guy was recommended to us by family members who were happy with his services.

He responded quickly when I emailed him the places we wanted to see. He mapped out our itinerary and off we went two days after. He paced the tour well so that we were able to fit in our long list of beautiful destinations. We drove through scenic routes of Provençale countryside, even stopping in a lavender field (unfortunately not yet in bloom but just as fragrant).
We saw Gorges du Verdon, Moustier Saint Marie, Aix en Provence, Rousillon, Gordes-Village des Bories-Abbaye de Senanque, Orange, L'Isle sur la Sorgue, Nimes, Pont du Gard, Avignon. Our focus was more on enjoying the places, food and their way of life.

On our last day, we caught the fabulous market at St Remy de Provence and then went to Les Baux de Provence.

He was also very generous as he helped us map out our itinerary for the French Riviera which we did on our own. Even that, the routing he suggested was very convenient, it saved us time and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

He always remained professional, good natured and fantastique. . His van is very clean, modern and comfortable

We spent a delightful day with Guy showing us some highlights of the Riviera. He was knowledgeable and, even though he does these trips many times every week, enthusiastic about the entire area. I might add that he was an excellent driver. Those roads were not were for feint of heart.

Mr. Guy Alfonsi is a guide extraordinaire! He picked up our group of four at our cruise ship and took us on a lovely tour around Nice and its surrounding countryside. His vehicle was clean and he was a very careful driver. He let our interests direct the course of the day, while at the same time ensuring that we didn't miss anything noteworthy. When we return to the area, as I hope we will, we shall not hesitate to rely upon him again.
