Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We been there today on electric scooters from our hotel. We rented 2 scooters for myself and my friend. We thought we won't make it till the top because the road was steep uphill. But fortunately me made it and the view from the top of fort is fantastic. We stay there for a while just to thank god for giving us such a beautiful nature.

well worth the climb to get above Nice and coast to east looking down on Villefrance . The Fort is dramatic in its own right commanding the coast

If you only went up here, on your visit to Nice, you could say "you'd seen the city"! The views are incredible, you can see so far along the coast,in both directions, all the city, the beach and out to sea. There are some seats around, to rest on, but take a drink, especially if the weather is very hot..

We took the #33 bus from Place des Arts which dropped us off at the bottom of the road to Fort Mont Alban. It's just a short 10 minute walk to the fort anf the scenic lookout. There's not a great deal to see as far as the fort goes. You can walk right around it and there are oppotunities to take photos on both the Nice and Ville Frenche sur Mer sides. The pinic area at the crossroads just past the bus stop is rather tired looking. Perhaps we were disppointed with this area as a place to enjoy a walk because we live on the west coast of Canada and are spoiled by our forested parks.

Catch tram from Nice central. get off at Garrabaldi square. Use same ticket to take bus to Ville Franche. Walk back towards Princess Grace Memorial. Look for stairs on the hill. Short journey on stairs. then a lovely walk under tree shade all the way to the Fort. To go back to Nice continue to walk down past the Fort to the next main road and catch a bus back to Nice

A spectacular view from this panoramic spot. We were among many climbing the steps up to this scenic point. Well worth it!

We rode our E-bikes to the top of this hill for the view over Nice. The fort was not open to the public, but was very impressive to see and walk around.
