Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We walked here from the Boscolo hotel and boy was it worth it with the harbour and a brocante area nearby for antiquities and such, Great cafe's around teh area too.

Really nice buildings surround the port area so a mixture of old world and the. New sleek super yachts! Worth a look at the conundrum.

This was a pleasant area of Nice overlooiking the port and marina and all the exopensive boats and yachts. You get great views from Castle Hill and just strolling the wateffront paths.

Climbing the steps to this great spot are well worth it. You have a magnificent view. From the harbor view to the Promenade des Anglais, its all right there.

Nice is not all about the "Promenade des anglais" and the "Vieux", there's plenty of other things to see, and this is a favourite with a space to walk away from the traffic (when there's not a Ferry loading and unloading; then it's a zoo!) and plenty of restaurents to choose from. Like all of Nice, avoid June / July / Aug.

We viewed the marina from the top of the hill on the other side from the main town. A quieter area to walk around with nice views and interesting boats and a few shops and restaurants.

We stayed at the end of September in an apartment overlooking the harbour at Place Ile de Beaute. It was away from the centre but within easy walking distance. 10 mins to the beaches but if you are a lover of boats then here they are to set your eyes green. The Corsica ferry leaves from here. The traffic is busy but that did not bother us.

We explored by foot, didn't have much firm destination, just walking around and see where our feet would bring us. Saw a lot of small colorful boats and right across them are big yachts. Very interesting walk around it.

Some nice old architecture in the square at the top of the basin but the best views of the old Port Olympia are actually from the terrace of the hill overlooking Nice...Le Chateau. And my last few visits to Nice including this one have seen considerable, but necessary, infrastructure building work going on around this end of the port.
