Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Disappointing really, we came to Nice party because it is meant to be some of the best places to snorkel and Coco Beach is recommended for this but I wouldn't recommend at all. It's nothing but a rocky area. Not great for kids either. I wouldn't bother wasting your time

Coco Beach isn't really a beach at all - more of a collection of rocks with stone steps and iron ladders down into the water for swimming - but that's part of its charm. No expensive beach clubs, hawkers or loud speedboats here, just a very pretty little spot to swim and enjoy the view of Nice harbour before sunning yourself dry on any flat bit of rock you can find. When we visited on a summer Sunday morning it was busy with local families but not crowded. There are life guards on duty and an outdoor fresh water shower to rinse off after swimming.

I’m an xPat living in Nice and this is one of the beaches you go to to get away from the tourists. It’s disappointing that word has gotten out about this Gem! If you have small children, I would advise to go elsewhere. It’s about relaxing after a swim in clear blue water. As the beach is somewhat isolated, and if you’re considering being there for more than a hours or two, be sure to bring something to drink and something to nibble on. If you’re going midday, be sure to bring an umbrella and sunscreen and you won’t be disappointed either if you bring your goggles. And above all else …. Don’t tell anyone about this place – promise ?

At this point in my trip I hadn't been to a beach in a week. I arrived in Nice and the first thing was to locate the best beaches around. I found two beautiful beaches easy to get to. On this particular day I walked to coco beach about a 20 minute walk from Giribaldi square. A couple of things to include in your beach bag are water shoes, sun umbrella, water, and food. I spent about four hours swimming and exploring. Get there early to secure your spot and remember to bring your sunscreen and hat in the summer its gets really hot. I highly recommend this spot not many children running around because of the rocks that line the shore. Mostly locals hang out here and some tourist oh and you will see the occasional topless group.

Lobster a total rip off, dry, overcooked and tasteless and 180 euros for 1! Food very disappointing and not worth the money. Location hard to find and no car park.

We are staying in an apartment across the road from this area of beach, and it's a bonus we didn't expect. There are many different small areas to walk down to that are very unique, and private in a way. Most can be observed from the sidewalk above, but there aren't a lot of walkers in the area. Definitely a gem in the city.

Lovely rocky beach a few kilometers off Nizza port. It was not crowded at all, nice and peacefull beach with dramatic rocks. I got some great photos from Coco beach. Easy walk from the port, took about 20 minutes even though we walked quite slowly.

Great service, amazing view, good food..... €110 the rather small lobster but i guess it is the price to pay for the view and the history of the place!

Be sure to go on a sunny day so the water is extra clear and blue. Definitely one of the top beaches to visit when in Nice.
The water was cold but we powered through.
Definitely want to go back!
