It's always interesting to visit an opera house, to see the grand people of the town attend in their finery! It was an extremely hot, balmy evening when we went to hear probably the best living tenor in the world now, Juan Diego Florez sing...More

I visited to see the opera Lakme. The building is a stylish early art deco one. The opera itself was well done and beautifully sung. The prices were at London prices. However, as others have said, the seating was the worst I have ever experienced...More

This is one of the most beautiful opera houses we have ever seen, lovely proportions and design, located on an interesting square. We wish the opera season was on, but sadly this was not the case.

Closed due to the time of year---but a great opera house, and worth a visit when opera or other attractions are playing
