Lovely place to visit for an hour or so. Quite impressive and a nice walk back to Annecy (10km). Lovely area.

Gorges du Fier turned out to be a lovely surprise as we really weren’t expecting much. We only visited as it was an overcast day in Annecy and there was no point in taking a trip into the mountains so we did the opposite and took a trip down into a gorge! Entrance fee is very reasonable at €5.50 per... More

It's a bit remote and you will likely need a car to visit but worth making the effort. There is also a castle very closeby which offers very nice views across the area. Parking was free when we visited.

My partner and I visited from Annecy. On the website it advised that getting to the Gorges from Annecy would cost 14- 18 euro. However we were charged 30 euro both ways! I would say it is worth it. The views are great and the bridges are stable and safe! Got some great pictures here. My partner and I also... More

Walk through this compact but quite spectacular gorge via a series of suspended walkways. It is probably only about 700m, so doesn't take long. You can also walk up to the Chateaux above the gorge via a walking trail.

Been there in September - very nice trip - not too difficult (about 1 hour there and back). You can see in the rocks images and faces and walk on a wooden bridge above the river. You can access from 2 parking lots to the park - price was 5.5 Euros per entrance - well worth it.

I've never held on to my phone as tightly as when I was taking pictures on this walkway. It's completely safe though and slightly unerving which is fun. Nice well run cafe at start with basic desert food and drinks.Your walk also returns here.Check out the previous water levels on the graph as you walk around the platform!

The gorges are spectacular and should not be missed. The gorge formation are very narrow in places and the route through the gorge is on walkways that are 30 metres above the River Fier and are 250 metres long that give stunning veiws of the river gorge far below. The walk on the gorge walkways to the end and back... More

The Gorges are a must if you are looking to get out and about during your holiday. They are easy to find, the price is extremely reasonable (children under 6 are free) and the Gorges are incredible. You walk over a narrow platform that is 27m high, and I did note that you are not allowed to take pushchairs/prams across... More
