We had two excellent full-day guided skiing with Franck - one to get to know the Chamonix area and the other to descend the Vallee Blanche. The first day we had storm conditions so Franck drove us to Ste. Gervais ski area for lower winds a day of hunting powder stashes. Day two, the descent of the Vallee Blanche, was breathtaking and Franck also took us off the beaten path to find untracked powder and see up close the beauty of the Mer De Glace. We highly recommend Franck to gain from his 35 years of experience guiding in Chamonix.

My family (Mom, Dad and two daughters 11 and 14) enjoyed an afternoon half day ski lesson with Franck. Dad and Kids were complete beginners and Franck was very patient and gave good clear instructions and advice. They progressed very quickly and were well prepared to practice for the next few days. I would definitely book Franck again for a further lesson in the future. Extra Tip: Don’t forget your sun cream if the sun is shining!

Big thanks for skiing lessons. Had a great time learning skiing.
Rather than skiing at same place my I instructor took me to three different places / terrains. Absolutely loved it & he was kind enough to drop me at hotel too after finish. Great guy.
Hope to see you again next December.

I booked an XXL paragliding flight through Chamonix Sport Aventure as a birthday present for my husband. Very reactive team; booking through sms was quick and easy. His instructor (Romain) was excellent ; luckily the weather conditions were outstanding and allowed them to ascend pretty high over the Chamonix valley and try a few figures during the flight. All in all a very smooth and enjoyable experience!

Franck Chapon of Chamonix Sport Adventure is best in his class. Franck provided awesome ski guiding as well as ski instruction for my visit to Chamonix. Franck is a wealth of knowledge of the entire Chamonix valley and beyond. As I do not have a lot of experience skiing in Europe, Franck made me feel safe and secure on the mountains we skied. There were two others in my group who can also agree our experience in Chamonix would have not been the same if it were not for Chamonix Sport Adventure. They offered door to slope service and back. Franck knows all the great local spots for awesome dining on the mountains. We skied three (3) different mountains and Franck had in depth knowledge of all the terrain. He gauged our abilities and helped us with expert ski instruction.
In addition, and definitely the HIGHLIGHT, is Franck also offers tandem paragliding. YES, the last day of our trip we launched off mid station at Brevent and it was a thrilling and exhilarating experience. I would have never done this with anyone but Franck as he is highly experienced in paragliding. What an AMAZING EXPERIENCE.
Thank you Franck for your incredible customer service!!!

This was the first snowboarding experience for me and a friend, our coach Kieran taught us the basics of riding a board in two fun morning sessions. After the lessons and practise we were both riding the slopes on our own by the third day, super fun! I would recommend taking the lessons to learn the correct technique, have a great day learning and save yourself lots of time.

due to weather conditions Mt Blanc via Cosmic Hut was not possible. Our guide suggested some alternative climbing routes and summits which were brilliant.
Great Organisation, excellent guide, superbe routes!
Strongly recommended.

I made an ascent to Mont Blanc in July with Daniel. From my point of view he had all necessary skills and belayed in professional level. Fortunately, i had no possibility to check how good was provided safety. Not sure if Daniel has IFMGA ceritificate, but he told me that he worked in rescue service. And i saw that he knows techniques like short-rope belaying
I had plans to make regular classic 2-day ascent with stay at Gouter hut (and made reservation beforehand), but in mountains weather conditions mean a lot. And week before my trip Frank said that it's too hot and it's dangerous to cross Grand Couloir in day time, so it's better to adopt my program to cross it in early morning and have 3-day itinerary. But when i arrived more accurate information about weather appeared and my guide suggested to make fast ascent from Nid d'Aigle to mountain top w/o long stop at Gouter hut. So i appreciate flexibility and approach to achive higher success chances.
Another advantage of local guide was his contacts. It was possible to move my booking from Gouter hut, otherwise it would be just money loss.
Daniel tried to be supportive, stay positive and was forcing me to be positive. For me that's not so important - i know my limits, and know what i can do. But for some kind of people it could help a lot. So that's another plus.

We did the via ferrata with my daughter. While we have done some via ferrata this was the most extreme we had done...and Franck was not understanding or supportive at all. Repeatedly saying "a 9 year old has done it" and "it is easy" is not helpful. It was scary. He kept on saying..if one route is too hard we can take another...well there was no other route...just one. Then on the walk down to the car, he just took off. We have never been there before and while we assumed it was walking down..there were several places where the path spilt...he is probably fine if you are good at what you are doing, but not so supportive if you show fear or uncertainty. Rather than drop us back at the hotel, he just dropped us off in some parking lot within walking distance of the hotel, but still not what we had expected for the money we spent.

Thank you very much for your surrealistic review !?
For information in thirty five years of career in summer in the Alps, we have never seen customers so difficult !
According to your alleged quality and experiences in Via Ferrata when you booked with our company and according what you told me about the skills of your daughter in Rock climbing and Via Ferrata...
You forget in your testimony that you had booked a Via Ferrata much more difficult and much longer (full day program) than the one we climbed...
Fortunately the long one that you booked was not open on that day ! and I offered you this other program less long and much easier ! If not we would surely have had to call the official rescue team in this long one who was planned...
Indeed this Via Ferrata of basic average difficulty for France is very often climbed by children of 10/12 years without any problems !
Despite all my first explanations, your daughter 13 years old, (looking more like15) started only after 5 meters of easy climb to swear and cry with a very weird behavior ? so with a lot of difficulties for me to try to coach and support !
Even the other groups that were doing this Via Ferrata showed their astonishment and surprise at this so strange and unusual behavior...
Then, you even try to explain to me how i have technically to work ?? at this in defiance of the basic rules of security ! not able to understand anything about the security rules in Via Ferrata when we use both double slings and as extra security climbing rope between each for your safety !
I took it upon myself to help you navigate through your Via Ferrata activity in full and to don't cancel it immediately, as i knew you was looking for that day since a long time...
Besides you even sent me an SMS in the evening: -- "Thank you for your patience today"
I think you have realized the difficult job i had to do...
Regarding the descent on the trail, you forget to mention that even in the path you have often been unable to just walk !?
I saw you and your daughter from time to time even going to sit on the ground ! saw your very weak ability to just walk downhill on a normal mountain path ! Then you were so slow that if I had to walk at your "speed" I would have lost my balance and fall down myself ! However osteoarthritis affects my 2 knees and by definition requires me to be very slow downhill since I have to help me 2 sticks to relieve my knees!
At no time as you say falsely, i did leave you alone in this path !??
So You have always been close enough, without necessarily seeing me since the path is narrow and turns a lot in the forest; know that there may be a great difference between what you perceive and the reality of the facts in the Mountains ! The trail was very obvious and you are the first people in twenty years of this Via Ferrata to complain about the direction to take walking down on this one??
Indeed at each crossing some signs clearly indicate the direction to follow to the car park then it's very easy and natural on the second part as a wide back country road of 4 meters wide !
Then another last unbearable critical on your part...As you asked to me this information and help. Upon our return I had to make a detour with the car to gently explain the direction of a easy flat hiking trail for your next day ! Then the place where I dropped you off in Chamonix - as i was obliged to park there, to be able to help you to show the start for your hike - was located only 2mn walk from your hotel !!...
Also please note that I could not continue to drive my car from this place to your Hotel as the street to your Hotel was in forbidden direction ! That's the Real TRUTH and the reality of the Facts!
Next time may be it will be more fair to talk to us rather than jump straight to TripAdvisor...

Hi, I am looking to travel to Chamonix at the end of April for a week of trail running - please could you give me some advice about the typical snow conditions - is it likely that I could get around the Tour du Mont Blanc at that time of year? Thanks for any help :)
Hello
it's bit to soon in the season as we still have a lot of snow in altitude from 2000m
For Trail running it's better to wait till mid of may begining of June
Tour du mont-Blanc from mid-june
