Lac de La Rosiere in the region of Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes France is a lake view worth the climb to the top of the hill. Beautiful calm waters and a great picnic spot.

Well, even us four-legged fuzzy wuzzies know that in September, there probably isn't going to be any snow, but we went anyway because Dad's an outdoorsy sort of guy and Mum was attached to my lead, so we sort of ended up at Courchevel 1650...More

This is a little bit out of the way, but well worth a visit. The water has the most amazing colour. We also did the Via Ferrata here which was good fun and quite accessible (my 8 year old came with me). The area is...More

This is a lovely lake close to Courchevel Moriond. My only criticism is that signposting could be better. We decided to return via Le Praz which took much longer than the indication given on the initial signboard at the lake. En route, it would have...More

Small but good value high ropes course for age 8 to early teens. Beautiful setting with great walks. Finished day grilling sausages on one of several bbq pits.

The walk to this Lac is well worth doing. It's a good half-day snow shoe walk in winter. Lovely scenery, walking through the trees and finally arriving at a very scenic lake. If you want to be guided the tourist office can give you details...More

Great for walking (climb the dent du villard) or do the via ferrata or have a BBQ by the lake. A smashing place.

Lovely hidden gem in courchevel 1650. Great spot for picnics, bbq's & family days out. We did Via Ferrata whilst there (like rock climbing), great course for beginners, thoroughly enjoyed it. Only down side I'd say is it is quite dangerous next to the lake...More
