I stayed at la Croix-Rousse for a few days and I discovered this area progressively, while walking everywhere. The buildings are very tall with many extremely charming short-cuts. You can just lose yourself and follow your nose. The views are fabulous. La Croix-Rousse is the...More

Great wake up the streets and to see the history of the city of Lyon. Great friend made on the train from Paris to Lyon and they gave me their time to show me around the city.

Just across the river from Vieux Lyon, this area is a little more bustling with a little more shopping, but is still charming and full of things to do (sightseeing, museums, art, architecture). Seemed to have a vibrant young feel and plenty of nightlife!

We fully enjoyed exploring the streets and passages of this quaint area. There are a number of opportunities to learn about the silk weaving, see demonstrations, and buy silk. A highlight for me.

My friend lives around the neighbourhood and I stayed at her place when I visited, the murals are very cool to look at. We spent a lot of time walking around.
