We rented an apartment on Place Carnot in Presqu'île and loved the location >> right in the heart of the city between the Rhône and the Saône, with many good restaurants and within walking distance of lots of interesting sites.

Museums, shops, restaurants, you find it all here. In the center there is Place Bellevue (Tourist Office) with the statue of Louis IX. Wander through the narrow streets and enjoy this neighborhood. Or rent a city bike and ride it along the river banks.

The Presqu'ile is the heart of the city with it's restaurants, shops, bars and architecture. Really busy in the weekend, mainly Saturday so to avoid the crowd just find the small streets and their charm.

This is a good place to wander, window shop and people watch. You can shop too, but many of the shops are expensive and upmarket. There are ample places to eat and to watch the world go by.
