Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was quite a pleasant, clean tunnel, but no lightshows or projections or sounds or anything... we didn't see anything beforehand saying it was only 'active' at certain times of the day, but a local helping us with directions did say she thought it was only evenings. Given that we were there in the morning and it was perfectly uneventful, I'd say she was right! Kept us exercising and out of the rain, though, I guess...!

It's a nice place to go if you are staying more days in Lyon. It's interesting if it's something different for you. The images are ok.

We went through this tunnel at 1pm and there were no lights or music but when we came back at 6pm everything was fully functioning. It was a great short cut ...outside a sign said 25 ,mins to cycle through but we did it in 8 mins at a reasonable pace. The lights & music were nice to see but perhaps it's more impressive some times than others, note it closes quite early. There is one tunnel for vehicles & the other is for cyclists & pedestrians only

Lyon keeps many wonderful secrets, but surely this one is the best kept.
I only learned about it recently, after living here a month, when a friend casually mentioned the light show in the tunnel dug straight throughout the Croix Rousse hill. Since Lyon is famous for it's December Festival of Lights, there are many brilliant local light artists who contribute to the tunnels experience of light shows-- so many that every time one enters they have a different light show! It might be a forest created with light, a tunnel filled with Lumiere Brothers movies, a laser show or psychedelic spinning wheels of light…it's all wonderful and unique and set to soothing music.

The light show tunnel is for pedestrians, cyclists, or 'trottinettes' (foot powered scooters). There are no cars in this tunnel, although it runs parallel to the auto tunnel. It's a terrific experience and will take you quickly from the Soane River to the Rhone in the most magical of ways. It reminded me of falling through Alice's tunnel with all of the visuals whizzing by….

Get yourself a VeloV (free bike for 30 mins) and enjoy this fantastic ride. Or take the bike then through the Parc Tete O'Dor or on the path along the Rhone to the confluence for a wonderful ride along the beautiful banks of the river for a throughly modern look at the creativity of this ancient city.

This was my favorite activity in Lyon. All the museums, the food, the evening river cruise we great, but this was AWESOME! I have never seen anything like it and we made a point of visiting it twice. Don't miss this! On foot if necessary, but by bicycle was so fun!

What should basically be just a very long tunnel, actually turns out pretty interesting with all the light exibitions and the music. But it's better to do it by bike, cause its pretty long and become monotonous at some point!

Such fun and what a novelty! Riding through a tunnel while being entertained by light and sound shows. We enjoyed it so much we went back the next day to catch a different show.

I haven't found it when first time in Lyon. When second time, we've found it on our way back from the park with Zoo (cool as well). And it's incredible! We did cycling three times to enjoy! I love cycling but not my friend. And even he was fascinated. Installations, sounds, videos, lights, even smells - wow! I highly recomend not to walk through but cycling and the best emotions are guaranteed.

Great to visit such a bike-friendly city! TheTube is a cool way to travel a couple of km. on your bike or on foot without worrying about vehicular traffic and the daily (?) changing scenes on the walls make it a novelty. Would be great to have even more sound and visual effects, but overall, a wonderful addition to Lyon's bike paths.
