- Out This DoorMesa, Arizona585 contributionsidyllicSo beautiful. This is a tree-lined “street” for pedestrians, carriages and bikes along the shallow Oos River. There are several hotels along one side of this alley. And to the other side the park extents to a bowling green. Huge trees, fountains, and statues. Hard to tell where one garden begins and another one ends. The Oos river is lined which is interesting, crystal clear and shallow with several picturesque waterfalls. The city museum is along this allee. I stopped there for their gift shop which was small but the staff spoke excellent English and encouraged me to visit the Gonneranlage as well since the allee led to it. Free to enter the allee. Great for all ages. ADA accessible. Shady on a warm day. Enjoy as a stroll or exercise walk.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 September 2023
- DavidLille, France1,890 contributionsNot as vibrant in winter. This is a very pleasant walking area, lots of things to see. The only thing really stops me from giving it five stars is that some of the features, like the fountain, are not functioning, it appears, in winter. That said it's a really pleasant area and well worth an hour of your time spent walking.Visited December 2023Travelled soloWritten 24 December 2023
- SyrinxSoundsVictoria, Canada1,418 contributionsGreat People-WatchingWhat a wonderful time of people watching! I suspect we were watching a lot of tourists, but it felt more local. It's a clean, open, gracious space. Hard to get lost, easy to stroll. Lots of kids and families. On the other hand, we had mused that this was as close to "water front" as one gets in Baden-Baden. And like most waterfront properties, there is no small amount of exclusivity. One has to smile at the gated bridges across the little stream, river, boldly suggesting this far and no further. There's a lot of grandeur for not a very large place. Go have a nice stroll.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 24 June 2024

What a blessing it was to have this idyllic walking path so close to our hotel. It is difficult to believe that it wends its way right through the center of Baden-Baden. To walk the entirety is not difficult, and walking through the Lichtentaler Allee is a wonderful immersion of nature at any time of the year. In December it was mix of Fall colliding with Winter! It couldn't have been more peaceful and exhilarating. We would love to return to experience Lichtentaler Allee in the Springtime.

My wife and I took a long stroll down the historic Lichtentaller Allee. We could not get over how beautiful it was with each passing step...even on a cold and gray afternoon. When the sun did pop out occasionally, we took full advantage of it. We did not make it all the way down to the chapel where it ends, but we came close. We definitely recommend this stroll to lovers of all ages. You breath will be taken away...repeatedly.

This is a place to stroll around and enjoy the views. You meander down a path with the stream/river on one side. There are avenues of trees, grass, a fountain, little bridges over the water. Lots of bushes were in bloom when we were there. We walked down from the town to a formal garden area. There are a few benches to sit on.

Baden Baden is an idyllic spot located in its own microclimate area. Surrounded by mountains, you will find something for everyone. Lichtentaller Allee is perfect for strolls of any length. Breathe in the clean air and marvel at the trees and plantings. Stop for a picnic, or visit one of the many museums along it’s avenues. Ready to relax? Visit one of the spas and soak up the warmth and minerals of the natural springs. A little more action? Head to the Casino - world renowned for its classic games - Black Jack or Roulette - and plenty of machines for the modern gamblers.

This is not a sportive event, but a really nice place for a walk with a special atmosphere of Baden-Baden.
It was February, but even at this time it looked nice, with green grass. The park is very clean and well-kept. It is nice to have a lazy walk along the river and look around at the beautiful houses, small picturesque bridges and nature. It should be fantastic in spring and summer, I believe, when there will be a lot of green and flowers.

Nice quaint walk with the wee one. The weather was good when we were there. Windy but not too cold, sunny but not too hot. It have a lot of benches that you can have a sit, sip your coffee and enjoy your pastries with the sound of river flowing and birds chirping. Relaxing!

On a sunny day this was a lovely walk after lunch. Along a river and with pleasant gardens and views across to the hotels on the other side. We were on our way from Heidelberg to Strasbourg and Baden-Baden makes a perfect stop. Have a wander and lunch in the old town and then walk it off strolling along the river!

This attraction is picture perfect.

It’s just a walk through the park. From the Stadtmuseum to Staatliche Kunsthalle should be enough. Enjoy it for about 30 minutes, should be enough. Or you can have a picnic, so it would take longer.

è consigliabile visitarlo nel mese di dicembre? come si può raggiungerlo con i mezzi pubblici?
Written 3 December 2016
Buon viaggio!
